Hey peeps! Sorry for being such a downer yesterday on the couch. I am doing somewhat better today - except for being in excruciating physical pain. I am in agony, and since my pain meds are limited, I am limited with what I can do about it - except writhe in pain and moan, I guess.

I'm supposed to be representing my paranormal group at a private Halloween party tomorrow night, and I don't have a costume. And, I don't want to spend money on a costume. I ordered colored contacts (red cat's eyes, aqua blue cat's eyes) and was going to build something around that....but they haven't arrived yet. Blech.

Not sure what I'm going to do. Maybe I won't go the party but insist to everyone that I was there - just as the invisible woman.

MUE-you had a hard couple days. I think your group would understand if you didn't go.
Thanks for this!

I think the invisible woman ploy is viable.

Pain meds....hmmmm. I may actually go for that. I have an antinausea pill, and a muscle relaxer, and some prednisone. But nothing for pain. They aren't big on rx'ing that stuff here. Usually I would have to go to urgi if I wanted pain killed. And they give you 3 days worth.

Wiki - do you have a family doc you can call..? In Louisiana they give out meds like vitamins, xanax, pain pills etc... Texas they are a little more reserved.

Be happy Wiki...stop whining!!! Dumb *****.
That sounds like an awesome weekend. S'ok if you're not excited now, I bet physically being there will do that.

You probably already know this, but you can safely take up to 800 mg doses of ibuprofen on a short-term basis (unless you have allergies or GI issues that I don't know about). So four at a time. I had a friend who used to do this for back pain, and I know that's what they gave me to alternate with Vicodin when I got my wisdom teeth out.
Thanks for this!

Hello everyone!

I have a new obsession...what H and I plan to do next spring...ROAD TRIP!! Trying to figure out where exactly to go. I'm making all kinds of google maps. It's fun and slightly anxiety-producing at the same time. We plan to take 3 weeks off work to do this.

Have a great day!!

Wikid - i hope you get some relief from the pain.

Lc- he did not cancel because of you. Try reading Brene Brown's new book if you haven't done so already. It might help with the part that won't shut up.

Chopin - i am glad you have something you are looking forward to.

I have a walk-in closet in my office. I would like to go hide in it. I wonder if anyone would even notice. I think I am going to go try it out.

There's this really great new thing called GOOGLE. Plug him in and I BET you can find his office number. Quit making excuses, Woman. Call him and help yourself feel better. [Where's a kick in the pants emoticon when you need one?]

Where is the smart A S S emoticon when you need it. LOL

I know I am just being crazy...its the topic that is "poking me in the crazy"

He works in a practice and the front desk lady called and said he was at home throwing up... can you believe she told me that.... if he doesn't email me back, I may call - I ran a background check on him before our first meaning, I know his address , name of relatives, criminal history (if any) etc.... ( not sure if phone number is on there) but he knows I did it, one cant be too careful with the person they are going to dump their lives out to. Plus his fathers nurse practitioner is my doc. Gotta love a small town.

Now my boss is coming in to sign a contract so I can't go hide. After lunch perhaps.
