Add Doctor Who, and you have listed my favorite shows. I am also enjoying Sons of Anarchy, and Revenge.

What do you do when you're scared to death of something/don't want to, but doing it could help/support someone else?

I almost want to talk to T about this, but I've never sought help for these things outside of session before.

I love that show, but no more cable here so I only get to see it once in a great while.

I agree with you that they should have notified you. I still hope that you can find a way to see your old doctor. If you cant' contact your T, please post or message as you need to. I can understand why this is bothering you.
Thanks for this!

Yeah, I don't get how the hell anybody could be pg and not know until they give birth. I am fascinated by birth.. If I had it to do over again I would probably go back to school to become a midwife!!

Thanks, CE (and Lola for your encouragement too), I think that's really the thing with me also. I did end up sending my T a text message and I see there's an email from him, but I'm afraid to look at it Therapy... I'm crazy with it but crazier without.

I'm not a fan of Say Yes to the Dress, but I really don't like many "reality" TV shows like that anyway. I'm all about the dramas--House, MD., Law and Order CI, NCIS. Castle is a good one too but I've only watched the first season.

sconnie I would be bothered, too. I don't do very well with familiar things suddenly changing, especially something personal like a doctor. It's surprising they didn't notify you, I thought that was (should be, anyway) standard practice to tell the patients if a doctor leaves.
Thanks for this!

Thanks. My hypothesis is that she quit to stay home with her kids. It was a husband/wife practice.

I am thinking of saying something to the NP like "It was really difficult to find out through your website that I no longer had a doctor here. A letter in the mail would have been nice. Are there any plans to have a female doctor here anytime soon?" I just can't do the guy doctor for the girlie appointment. Did it once. Never went back to that guy again.

I am also frustrated because I have to tell them about my dysthymia dx. My Dr. was really cool and laid back. She would be cool with the no meds approach. The last thing I need is some med pushing Dr. who doesn't know me. I am glad I have t before the appointment.

Sorry I am so fixated on this topic. I avoided the Dr. for five years after college...going back was really hard for me. I was just starting to feel okay with going again.

My Dad had surgery Thursday to remove some lump from his neck. It didn't go as planned, and he had to stay overnight. On top of that, they suspect it might have been cancerous.

I've been dealing with horrendous commuting issues all day by trying to find an apartment. I just realized that my mother might need support from me in dealing with my Dad (and recent health issues with my grandmom). I feel like I should go home now instead of dealing with my housing issues, but I don't want to see my dad like that, and so much of my therapy is daddy issues. I swore I wouldn't care if he died....that sort of thing. So now I don't want to face this and deal with those feelings, but I realize my mom might need support.

I like Dr. Who, NCIS, NCIS: LA, True Blood, Bones, Major Crimes, Leverage, Fringe, Revolution, The New Normal, Go On, and Storage Wars.

I also get sucked into various and sundry documentaries and sci-fi stuff.

Fixated - I am sorry that you are in a conundrum. Contact T if you need to. This is a lot to deal with, and anyone would need support. If your T is that support then pleas ask for it. If it's us then you can lean here as well. Please also look out for yourself in all of this.
