please help..\
i have had mild depression and severe panic disorder for over 10 years and been self medicating unsuccesfully up until i recently got health insurance.. unfortunatly i got involved in a controling abusive relationship and ended up in some trouble with the law.. I was court ordered to rehab and being sober helped my meds work 100% better!! i was happy to finally get some help].then they switched my meds and i got depressed and started feeling really detached... i had a panic attack and ended up leaving treatment and i really dont know why, i cant go back now im looking at 2 years in prison. I think that they are going to think that im lying... or just not care...because of my anxiety i dont have anyone to talk to and would love to get any words of advice... Thanks

hi, welcome to pc I notice you are posting in the therapy section so wondering if that's something you've tried yet? it might be worth looking for someone who can be both a person to talk to and give you advice during all of this to go along with the meds.

Wow, sounds like you're under a lot of stress. Welcome to PC! I am hopeful that you will find some great support here.

I hope you will be able to reach out to your doctors, so that you can get your medication back on track towards helping you. Switching meds is no fun.

Can you look into an intensive out patient program to get into in the next day or two? If your in something maybe that would help them see your serious.

Hi there
Did you "just" leave the treatment or really end it? If you took off in midst of a panic attack, go back the next day or call them to let them know you're sorry and you're coming back. If you have truly ended the mandatory treatment, call you lawyer immediately- surely there must be a way around this. Maybe even your PDoc/T can help- like sending a statement to the court on your behalf.
BTW if your meds were working, why did they/you change them?
