Morning couch! I have been up for quite a while already. I spent that time researching vacuums. 'Cause I'm all exciting like that. You know you are officially a grown-up when you are asking for a vacuum for Christmas and are actually a bit excited about it.

Anyway, I brought work home so I guess I'll work until other people get up.

Good morning MKAC. Yay for new vacummes! I got one 2 years ago. Last year I got one of those little electric sharp floor vacummes. It was my favorite gift last year.

I have a Rainbow system, it's by far the best vacuum I've ever owned, my son even loves vacuuming with it, and it's a steam cleaner too. It REALLY sucks up the cat hair well and our cats leave a LOT of fur around!

Thanks Jersey.. It is supposed to start raining here this afternoon as well, I hope it stops in time to go. Caroling in the snow is one thing, but the rain.. no fun!

Yeah, the rainbow is WAY out of my price range, Artemis. LOL. We're looking at the $200-400 range.

T e-mailed me last night, in response to my e-mail to him Wednesday afternoon. It wasn't urgent, I just needed some info from him. He responds at weird times.. Saturday at 10:30.. It makes me wonder if he doesn't check his work e-mail very often.

The reviews I read said the Dyson's have insane amounts of suction, which can be good, unless you have older carpets, in which case it can trash them. My carpets are older. The reviewing site I looked at, which is devoted to just reviewing vacuums (who knew that kind of thing existed???), said that the Dyson would "beat the carpet to death." So, they liked the Shark better. Not even in the same league as the Rainbow (comparing apples to oranges they said), but a good all-purpose vacuum.

Interesting.. That is good to know, my carpets are old, but they are cheap and not attatched (?) to the floors very well (the guy who lived here before us, did all of the improvements himself.. he was not an expert) I bet they would suck ours right up!

Mine sent me a check in text at about 4am once. Really made me smile when I found it in the morning.

It was out of our price range too when we bought it LOL but H really wanted it and so I stayed out of the whole thing cuz I thought it was insanely expensive but H worked out a financing thing with 0% interest if paid w/in a certain amount of time and we actually paid it off w/in that time frame. Now I'm way thrilled to have it of course. We've had it for probably 6 years now.

A vacuum that you can have for 6 years and it still work great, basically pays for itself.

I've never had email privileges per se, but I did send her a message once through her psychology today web site profile, and she replied to it. That was our one and only email contact.

Latest mine ever contacted me was 10:30...she was returning my phone call from that morning. 10:30 is not incredibly late but I was in and out of sleep and she was bright eyed and bushy tailed as if it was the middle of the afternoon!

Yeah, I have text privileges but no email privileges. T's recently told me I can text her but she'll never contact me first outside of sessions again. It doesn't seem to work so well anymore. Every text I've sent has gone missing, or been forgotten. Ugh...and I hardly ever text, so it's not like I really pester her. Oh well.

one of the things i love about it is it doesn't use bags, it uses water that traps all the dirt/cat hair/etc and then we just dump it out in the backyard. Really easy to retrieve coins or toys or anything else that gets sucked up in it too. it's an air freshener too it came with scents that you squirt into the water. And if you run it w/out the hose attached, it pulls dust and stuff out of the air too. I really love it.
