Btw, how do you know if a post is being moderated?
I'm not sure, but ever since I got a bm sorry a pm from a moderator telling me that they were gonna delete a post of mine, my posts always say "this is gonna take a minute to post" or something like that. The two may not be related, it could just be my new phone, Idk.

Now I'm singing PYT in my head, thanks!

We stopped at the Keltic Kottage and bought an Irish fishermen's sweater for my son for Christmas. It's beautiful, straight from the motherland. My son is such a little Irish boy. He better not wear it out fishing though...not at that price.

Ooh, those sweaters are so beautiful! I hope to make one someday with some nice undyed wool. Whenever I develop the attention span. I'm sure your son will love it!

It is a gift to be reminded, in the midst of all of the horror and pain that we are surrounded by, that most people are wonderful and kind and can be truly amazing.

....and then reality comes crashing back in. OMG, the news is so awful. They had to evacuate the Newtown church today because of a threat. Who could be so evil. Those poor people are already so devastated. WHy? I don't understand. Sorry of this shouldn't be here.

Back to a simpler time - watching the first episodes of Lassie on ME-TV.

Ha! Cloris Leachman is Timmy's adopted mom!

Lola,

After I realized it was connected to PWT, from your thread I also knew that no offense was intended. You, and CE are two of the most sensitive posters on here.

I was only asking that people be a little more sensitive, and the request is not out of anger. It's just my own sensitivity. My negative history includes derogatory words that were said to me, and it makes me sad to see, or hear these things. My issue - not the couches.

Take care, and keep doing what your doing. You are good people

I am rereading the Hobbit. I cannot figure out how the director has managed to make the movie so long. I know I would fall asleep about ten minutes into it.

Lola...son's Irish heritage is well watered down. Daughter calls herself Italian. Funny.

Drinking orange-pom juice...needs vodka. I will say that those little pom seed don't give off enough juice to make it worth the bother of juicing them, but I needed a boost.

My daughter just texted me a pic of the new blazer she bought. Grrrr. Looks just like the one I bought her for Christmas. Grrrrr.

Did anyone watch the 121212 concert? We recorded it and have been viewing it the past few days. Man, the stones are old. I kept waiting for them to keel over. They look like skeletons. My MIL looks younger. And why did the Who play for so long? Roger Daultry really isn't very good - that whole Keith Moon thing was creepy. I'd have preferred more Chris Martin. Does Paul McCartney really think he can replace Kurt Cobain?

Never read the Hobbit. Haven't read any of the Harry Potter books either. I'm more into stuff like the Bronte sisters, etc. Wuthering Heights is the BEST!!!! Oh, Heathcliff, sigh.

The Hobbit is short and definitely written for children. It's Lord of the Rings that is the long one. I'm a Tolkien fan, but I much prefer LotR's over Hobbit. It will be interesting to see what they do with The Hobbit. I suspect much embellishment of the plot as the book tends to just skim the surface of the battles, etc. Looking forward to it though. We're huge LotR and Harry Potter nerds around this house. Waiting until we're all out of school for a few weeks to go see it though. That and Les Miserables. Can't wait.
