The plus side of those co-workers being gone is that we are having a small party today. No boss there so we are ordering in Thai food and the afternoon is likely to be unproductive. Plus tomorrow I am working from home which means I can get 8 hours of work done in 4 and then clean my house

I'm up...g'morning.

I mostly enjoyed the Hobbit. I was instantly 9 years old while watching the dwarfs pile into the Hobbit hole. It was exact. The lyrical writing didn't wholly translate, but there were some very good quotes. Millions of wiki points for the person who brings me the Gandolf quote about why he chose Bilbo. He was talking to the other wizards and it was something about kindness being a greater power...I forget. Can't find it.

I need to go to Boston to get the final drains out so I can start radiation.

MKAC...that pisses me off.

Healed ... hugs.

Have a good day all.

oh...oh...oh....

and I loved when the elves fed the dwarfs. They were looking at all the kale and scrumptious green food like WTF??? Ha ha ha....too funny.

Never saw any of the LOR movies....but is this it?

"It is the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folk, that keeps the darkness at at bay. Simple acts of kindness and love."

Wiki points for trying, at least?

Morning all,

Working from home today because my boss apparently really appreciates how painful back injuries can be.

So when I cancelled my session yesterday, T said, "I'm sorry to hear you are in so much pain" and then in response to my response, said, "I hope you feel better soon."

I keep looking at my phone to re-read these texts. I don't know how to feel about them. I want to take them as her caring, but then again they're standard things people say in these situations, so it seems fake.

And this is what I spend my time thinking about instead of working on my paper.

Fixated - back pain is awful. I hope your paper is finished soon.

The hobbit movie seems to get better reviews here than from the critics.
Thanks for this!

granite good to see you no couch killing was done!

gooooooood morning couch kiddos! hope everyone has a good day, those with t sending out good thoughts your way, and here's a link to my favorite song of the moment, "Fearless Love" by Melissa Etheridge. I shared it with T yesterday and she loved it, and said that fearless love can apply to loving yourself also. My T is so wise. Enjoy!

You didn't kill the thread. I'm happy to see you! I'm in the middle of making chocolate pretzel trees, so I'm just checking in every now and then.

Here. My students are good at keeping my mind from not good thoughts. Told my h last night that I want a divorce. So lawyers, do I really need to hire myself a lawyer. Pretty sure it will be uncontested... And will be able to come up with custody agreement ourselves... Sigh.

Yes you need representation. I agree with Granite. Are you sure? PM me if you need to talk.

Thanks, Lola, but I have tried talking and it only hurt me. Which is my own fault and not that of my interlocutor. I'll see if I can talk to T tomorrow, perhaps. I should go home now...

Perhaps the talking isn't to blame, perhaps it was the audience? It's not trusting anyone ever, its who we trust and when. Sometimes the audience isn't appropriate for the subject at hand, due to lack of experience, open mindedness etc. You will find we are all very like minded here, I think.

Granite, it's a perfect Charlie Brown tree!

Apt, I'm sorry you're feeling that way. I hope you can talk to T and he can help you feel better.

Healed, with children involved it's really important to have legal representation. Somehow, things almost always get ugly at some point and you'll be glad you have someone advocating for you.
