And... we give presents on Christmas Eve, not on Christmas Day, in this country So the 24th is not a shopping day. But I know what to get, it's just a matter of getting it. Mostly. (I just dread Christmas so much I don't want to start thinking about it before I absolutely have to!)

Ugh. My internet connections keeps going in at out here at home. Not very helpful for working from home But I am too lazy to call the cable company. They probably won't send anyone out anyway.

It took 3 hours to shovel this morning. We got a break and now it's snowing hard again. The worst is coming this evening. 40mph winds

I have a silly question. What does ETA mean? I gather is has something to do with editing after you post?

My family always used to do gifts on Christmas Eve too. It felt weird when we opened on Christmas one year. Christmas Day was always for going to my grandma's for dinner and visiting my cousins.

Fruit's always a great option. Makes me feel so good and refreshed!

Oooh, I'm so interested, sconnie - I have loads of chickpeas just sitting waiting to be used!

I didn't even think about that, Apt! I remember my German friend telling me about that tradition a few years ago... interesting to see (well, know) how we all celebrate differently. I also used to feel similarly about not wanting to do anything until I had to, but I soon changed my mind. Attempting to traipse through my town at this point in time - even with solid knowledge of where I need to go and what I want to purchase - is a complete nightmare/near enough impossible! You're a braver soul than I!

Here is a link to the chickpea recipe. It says to chill it, but I've eaten it warm too:

That all sounds really really good! I wish we had a Whole Foods. The nearest one is 60 miles away... but we do have an awesome indoor farmer's market every other weekend.

The piles along the street are 3-4 feet high right now.

Thanks for the recipe, sconnie - I can't wait to try it out - I know I'm going to love it!

WOWEEE at all that snow! The 'Piggly Wiggly' sign made me chuckle - I take it that's some kind of supermarket?

Cool picture, but gross. That's why I left WI. Not that my view looks much better today. At least we have sun.

Yup... they have a hilarious jingle for that grocery store... Piggly, Wiggly, Shop the Pig. We all refer to it as "The Pig". They even have a giant pig mascot and giant pig inflatable for special sales.

Not safe for driving right now... sledding will have to wait... but shoveling will not.

Granite all of that sounds good. Cookies aren't bad if you eat them in moderation. (As long as your Dr. said the same.) I'm guessing though that Whole Foods cookies probably have as much sugar as other cookies. The one plus they have is they do not use or allow any high fructose corn syrup in their stores.

He's at work. He will probably bail me out in the morning. We are in for another 3-6" tonight.

I have been trying to send T an e-mail all day.. I just can't figure out what to say in it. I want to say I feel so alone and I want to know he is there for me. That sounds way too desperate.

Ugh. I just checked my insurance website. I thought my ultrasound was all billed out... boy was I wrong. Now the hospital tacked on an additional $300. I don't even want to know what the biopsy bill is going to look like I may have to tell t I can only do every three weeks instead of two
