Do you all know when/ how a pro decides to send you to inpatient?

I've read onhere about how family can go about helping in this situation and I liked the suggestions.

I went to emergen cy on myown years ago. I didn't really know my T and family did not know what to do.

And...would you try to hold out for your next appointment, knowing that you NEED to be inpatient or do you trust yourself to be able to decide?

A little in circles, sorry. I'm growing concerned. It might not be right for me to stay home an longer, but I don't know...

thanks in advance

If you feel like you are a danger to yourself, please call your T and let him or her know, and then go to the hospital. It's not worth the risk to keep second guessing yourself. Please take care.

Contact your T and tell them you think you need inpatient.

I think if you are writing out that you need to go inpatient, you should do so. Ways to do it that I know of are to call the therapist or psychiatrist if you have one and ask for assistance or go to the emergency room of a hospital that has a psych unit.

My local hospital has a psych unit...a very good one.

I could ask a friend to meet me there. I could get there by 6 and meet outside. Or should I go to my friend or have my friend piclk me up?

I don;t want to risk being alone and I don't know if I could drive myself, but I might freak when my firend comes

I AM FREAKING OUT
WHAT DO IDO

I WANT TO BE SAFE

So what happened, shlump? Are you feeling better? I saw some other posts by you early this morning, so did you change your mind about going? Just concerned for you.
