I will have to deal with them on my own now, all my T wants to talk about are the choices anyway. I'm not paying to talk about that anymore.
I agree a client gets to do everything you have stated in here you want to do. But it might mean getting a new therapist. Can you do that?
Thanks for this!

So, confused, what choices do you have now? I recognize 3 and there may be more. And what are the consequences of each of these choices?

1. Leave therapy.
2. Continue therapy but with another therapist.
3. Agree to comply with your therapist.
And maybe a 4th choice (not knowing if possible): Negotiate with current T.

Are there other options? But most importantly, what will be the consequence of each choice and which choice is the least painful?
Thanks for this!

Thanks stopdog. I.don't really want to see someone else. Worried now my T thinks I need that much work. Maybe I just need to work on solving my own problems and behaviours. Not.that its that easy!

Why not see if T is willing to meet you 1/2 way. I can see where a T doesn't want you drifting, but maybe if you divulge a little bit of info just to see if it helps. Dip your toe in the water maybe? I am assuming this isn't T's first rodeo and T has an idea of what they are doing?
