Maybe you didn't save it? It should just show up automatically. But you first sel ect it, then save your changes.

If the activity you are wanting to dissociate through is what I suspect...then I used to have methods for that but I don't recommend them. Sorry.

I am also intrigued with Stopdog's blow torch. Several years ago I went through a phase when I thought I wanted to learn how to make my own glass beads and that involved a blow torch. It occurred to me that I am far to clumsy to attempt such a thing as much as I am interested. Maybe when I grow out of my awkward phase....it could still happen after all these years...right?
As the Venetian Republic said to the glassblowers: "You've burned down our city for the last time. Go find another island."

Huh...I don't know. The pic that I chose shows up when I go to my profile, but it doesn't when I post something.

I am far from computer illiterate, but this is stumping my drug addled mind.

Go to "my profile" and "Edit Avatar" under Settings and options, perhaps you set it as your profile pic?

Okay. Today we learned not to turn our entire body to look at something while holding the blow torch turned on in our hand.

Lola.. I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be a very good sister wife, this is the first time I made dinner in probably a week and a half. And.. it is only chicken burriots.. Not too labor intenstive or exciting!

I make dinner and shop. I do not clean except for sometimes sweeping up pet hair. I do pay for the cleaning service. And now I blow torch. I might make some creme brulee just so I can blow torch some more. Or toasted cheese sandwiches.

You could donate time to a charity that cuts up metal...maybe a recycling charity so you can "blow torch"..

To be honest I do 95% of the cooking.... and actually don't mind it.

So I went to CVS in a disoriented state today to get meds for my dastardly cold/whatever this is. I definitely would have made the cut for a "people of Walmart" type photo. Hadn't showered or combed my hair. Didn't wear a bra, and I am pretty sure my clothes did not match. What an adventure. What a sight I must have been.

I think being a blacksmith would be fun. Does anyone here (I laugh because most are so much younger than I) remember the film Rosie the Riveter? A woman became a welder and she spoke so passionately (and then sadly at its loss) about welding.
