Okay, having been raised on a farm and being around some of the dairy farms in my area, the cows are not raped in most cases. Either they are turned out with a bull who has to convince them to stand to be bred or they are artificially inseminated. The baby cows, assuming you are not in an area that does veal calves, are not murdered right away anyway. The heifers are sold or integrated into the herd. The steers are generally sent to slaughter.

Now I guess I'm being dense. The cows are bred, have a baby, which is taken off her, and then bucket raised. The cows are not raped. Usually the babies are not murdered. Although I think it's cruel to take the babies and raise them away from their mothers.

I had a weird experience once and I was trying to get a baby cow to get back in it's fence... his mom was on one side of the fence and the baby on another. It was heart breaking to hear.

I love cows. I had a dream once where I was on a spaceship and trying to get a space cow to an intergalatic cheese conference. But my T was there and said "Das ist verboten" all i remember thinking in my dream was "wow, my T speaks german" Not "What the hell is my T doing on a spaceship?"
