Hair? I can walk into a wall, though.

I was about to write something inappropriate in response but thought better of it. I'll just carry that image in my head.

No reflection on you Ike. I'm just having issues at the moment. In another mood i probably would have posted the whole inappropriate comment and not thought about it.

Phew... home. It has been a long week!! We just got my daughter home from soccer.... she freaked out that her brother took her soccer ball.. Commence 40min tantrum. Holy crap, I am tired!!! She is now in bed crying.

Had MC today.. It well I guess. We decided to continue on at every two weeks. MC "surmised" from what I have told him that I had some kind of trauma happen to me. Umm Buddy, you didn't guess anything my T told you that I was raped. The more I think about it, the more I wish he would have just admitted that he had talked to my T b/c my T told me right away what he shared with my MC (they work in the same office). I suppose it is good that we can talk about it, though. I know that a lot of the issues in our relationship is a direct result from what happen to me as a child. We are going to be meeting every two weeks... Right now, I feel no connection to him, not sure I like him. Wondering if I can feel comfortable with opening up with him at all.. Time will tell.

My dog is an absolute nutcase lol. She is scared of the air vents in the floor. Anyway, while she was barking at her bone and flipping it around, she flipped it so it is sitting on the edge of the vent. All she has to do is pick it up...it's right there lol. But instead she is standing with her nose an inch from the thing whining and barking and wagging her tail. So, ingenious her, she goes and starts dragging her bed over to it to try to use the bed to get the bone off the vent. I know I'm mean because when she runs over to me whining and jumping for me to go get it for her, I just tell her "go get your bone!" like I'm going to play with her. I'm totally egging her on lol but it's hilarious!

Wow Healed - I think I would have not had such restraint. I think I would have called mc on it.
I am not intending to criticize, I often react to a therapist just off the cuff when pissed at their machinations - not always the best plan.

It's hard to say anything, though, when you're sitting there in MC. My T talked to me ahead of time about talking to MC and we discussed exactly what I was comfortable with MC knowing about me. He also told me when the MC called him the next time, and told me what they discussed. MC never mentioned what they talked about either time, and never told me about calling the second time at all. I never discussed it with MC either for some reason.

Healed, I wonder if your mc was waiting for you to say something. I know my T will wait to see if I initiate something. If not he will bring it up subtly. I don't know why he does it, maybe to it's to see how much trust there is or something. But the thing is I know that he knows and he knows that I know that he knows but i just can't can't start a painful conversation. I think its a t thing. just my take on it.

Like the elephant in the room thing.

Thanks for the perspective all.. SD- I wish I didn't have so much restraint, actually. I am the same way with my own T.. If he does something to piss me off I rarely call him on it and if I do, its in a round about sort of way..

T did tell MC to wait for me to bring up my trauma history.. I think he just said what he did, because he knew that we weren't getting anywhere with our sessions. Though, he says he won't push me to know the details and he doesn't have to know. I shared with him that I am reading through The Courage to Heal, so he can guess from that that he was some kind of CSA. I need to change my attitude towards him!!

Sorry you're having issues, BPA Hopefully this will cheer you up. At least it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Have you seen this lost solo from Here Comes the Sun.? It's at about the 1 minute mark. It makes me wonder what awesome music didn't make the final cut on many albums.

Wow thanks for that Ike. The best music i have is demos of my fav genesis and peter gabriel albums. I think some of them are better than the stuff released. I'm glad these artists are happy to release demos and master tapes to their fans. Lots of artists don't.
You just made my day thanks.

You are most welcome. Phil Collins was a helluva drummer. I saw Peter Gabriel at Woodstock '94 and he was smokin, I was in the minority at Woodstock, over 30, no tattoos or pierced body parts, but I had a great time.

NO Keith Moon was a helluva drummer, I was amazed to find out that Jon Bonham was scathingly critical of the fact that Phil Collins can't read music, just jealously on Jon's part. Jon said Phil wouldn't know what a double paradiddle was but he'd could work out the sticking pattern if he ever needed to.

The WHO, Maximum R & B, as complete a rock and roll band as there ever was, IMHO. Daltrey, Townshend, Entwistle, Moon. They had no weakness.

I saw Roger daltrey at a bluesfest here a couple of years ago. his voice is going but there is still power there and he drew the biggest crowd, even bigger than the Blind Boys of Alabama

I saw the Who in 89 and in 96(Quadrophenia), very good both times. Pete playing acoustic because of his hearing trouble. Confession-I had to google the Blind Boys- never heard of them, but i did work with a guy whose brother sang with The Mighty Clouds of Joy.

Rereading Cat's Cradle by Vonnegut for the first time in 35 or so years. I'm still impressed(maybe it's the two page chapters), entertained and amused, and it makes me think, what more should be asked of a novel?
