You have a record player? Wow, I wish I could play my old albums, if I could find them, that is.

Except for the texas teetotalers - and they still need their guns and ammo.

Hey couch peeps!

I was in the middle of posting on the couch this morning when I got an emergency assignment and had to rush out. Nice 5-1/2 hour gig at double rate. Woot woot. Makes up for a crappy work week of only 5 hours.

AND, I received an email from my old part time boss asking if I would be able to come back on a part time basis for a few months to work on some projects. Of course, I'm jumping on the opportunity (even though he screwed me over before with promising a full time job - and after a year, it not happening AND him telling me to stop coming in for a couple months which turned into six months). At least I know this time that it's part time and only for a few months. No expectations.

My swim club get-together yesterday went wonderfully. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

My daughter is home for the weekend, and I'm loving that. I'm not going to let the pain I'm in physically ruin the goodness of this moment.

My husband tried fried duck eggs for the first time. I tried repeatedly to tell him it was a much stronger flavor than chicken eggs. He is still not sure if he likes them, but says he will not be doing that again. Um, Honey? That means you DIDN'T like it.

ACK!

I just got more details from my part time boss about the project....He says that it would be full time work for about 9 weeks. The good news is that it's full time, so I can earn some real $$ for about 9 weeks.

The bad news is that it will severely compromise my interpreting availability - the work I really enjoy.

And, the worst news is that I would have an office in the worst city in the area, overseeing and managing projects that are going on in that city. DOUBLE ACK!

Maybe I can negotiate a higher rate for this work since they're really asking me to go above and beyond by taking on such a cruddy, risky assignment.

MUE, yeah, I think upping the ante is appropriate as it sounds as if you could love it and love just knowing you have the offer almost as much ((or is my brain unwinding?))

Back early from my weekend. I need to go shopping for food soon, but really can't be bothered. The couch has been unsually quiet, usually i return and it takes me hours to catch up.

Wish I had a turntable. No I don't it would only cause arguments about who owned which LP, best not to think about it.

Thanks....I'm kinda freaking out about all this....I HATE the idea of working in that city. Hate it. It scares me. And, it would mean that I probably won't be able to see T during that time unless he can fit me in on a Saturday...and it may interfere with my neurologist appt. that I so desperately need to keep. I will just have to grow some nads and tell them that I need to take that day off to see my neurologist and suck it up to not seeing T....because beggars can't be choosers, right?

This is depressing me.

Borrowed an e-book from the library....it's not the same as turning the pages and feeling the texture of the paper. A bit like having sex in a full-body condom, i would imagine.

I Googled "worst city in New Jersey". There is no clear winner.

LOL, CE....I know there's some competition in NJ. I'd be working in Camden City.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ered-year.html

And...I just saw this....Camden ranked #2 in the top 100 most dangerous places to live according to this article.

http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/nei...p100dangerous/

Maybe I shouldn't be googling it....ACK!

Morning y'all...
Drive thru daiquiris...I'd be in serious trouble.
The cleanse is for 21 days, but it's an odd twist...you eat two shakes and one clean meal (lunch) a day. You load up on probiotics and supplements too. You're supposed to do it for 21 days, eat clean for 10 then cleanse for 21 again.

My boy has a turntable, and lots of vinyl.

I cleaned my car yesterday, and I washed the upholstery with my green machine, left the windows open in the sun to dry it all out and forgot about it. It poured last night...grrrrr.

Church and my mother...the two unfortunately go hand in hand.
