I even have put a flatt and scruggs channel on my pandora list.

And your conclusion as to my statement is interesting.

Good LC glad your house has settled. I can't wait till my ex gets his finger out and sells ours, not that there will be much left over. In fact there will be nothing left over. But I can't apply for bankruptcy till he sells the house.

How does pandora work? I thought if you typed in something like a prog rock band you'd get prog rock suggestions. All I get is a whole lot of useless 80's rubbish.

My new hobby involves buying records, actual LP's for my turntable... I am digging it.

Good Luck BP on the sale, I think selling a house is much more stressful then buying one. I cried at the closing table today, felt like a total knob.... but then again, I'm a little off anyway, whatever

Let me clear it up for you. I am pretty sure we established my being older than you on an earlier couch. Something you remembered happening when you were in high school, I remember from college, IIRC. I give you my birth month and you equivocate. It makes me assume I remembered correctly.

Lola...my sister cried when she was meeting with her real estate agent when signing her rental agreement. She was making arrangements since her husband had took a year leave of absence and moved across country. Their house was supplied as part of his job so he was basically leaving her and their four kids homeless

the real estate agent was so understanding...knowing it wasn't the paperwork but what it all symbolized...

Hey peeps! Is it wrong that I don't recognize the majority of the bands that have been posted on the couch tonight? I'm such a misfit.

....anyhoo....I went from being scheduled to work 2 hours today to working 4.5 more hours at double rate due to an emergency call. So, that's a total of 11 hours pay. This was a good income day.

And I was asked if I could work on Sunday, and my manager mentioned the hours would be split up. I asked if she could give me a decent shift cuz I could really use the hours - and she ended up giving me both shifts (total 6.5 hours). I also already have 3 other assignments booked for next week totaling another 6.5 hours. It's not enough to consider it a successful week money-wise, but I am hopeful more assignments or emergencies will come in.

I'm hungry and tired....so I'm going to pop in an old movie (The Lost Boys) and eat something before turning in for the night.

Goodnight, peeps!

Our vacation rental had a record player. I may get one and recover my old albums from my brothers house. In college, I had a roommate with a 45 lb Yamaha record player. You could have two sumo wrestlers in the living room and that thing wouldn't skip.

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I don't know what progressive rock is.

BP - did you type in the phrase progressive rock or specific band names?

Ike , Best Buy has an ION for 99 bucks and you can record straight to an iPod or pad or MP3 player ... I hooked up speakers as i just want to hear music as i remember it prior to digital remastering.
Thanks for this!
