Good morning...gosh, y'all burned up the couch last night.

Wow...SD isn't really THAT old. Learn something new every day. lol.

Hanging out in CT at my daughter's house...have the wake in a few hours. They are doing the service right there at the funeral home, then the burial. D says it's going to be a closed casket. I am kind of relieved, I just need to get thru the cemetery part. Times like this I wish I still had medication. I may have to pick up a couple of shot bottles of vodka to down in the car on the way to the cemetery. My son is here with us, hoping my youngest D and her bf will arrive shortly. We are headed straight home after the burial.

On the bright side, it is good to see my grands. The little 2 year old actually remembered us, so I've already gotten a hug from her.

ha ha... H just told me that he remembers where he used to buy pot in high school, he asked "want me to see if I can score some for you?" (he was born and raised in a town not far from here) He'd probably get arrested.

Thinking of you, wikid. I hope it will be a meaningful ceremony and that you'll get through it without feeling too bad.

T texted me this morning to see how I was doing.. I feel better than yesterday, still haven't really gotten out of bed at all this morning. I should. H and I talked a little bit this morning. He really wants to go out and do something tonight since it was our anniversary yesterday. I am not sure what to do about that. Its been hard this week to put effort into getting dressed, caring about what I look like, and leaving my house. Not sure I want to put the effort forth or not.

I am glad T got back to you Healed. I am making myself get up shower and get dressed today as I AM goin going to have a better day today...if it kills me. Let yourself go and get out, do something fun tonight, try a fondue restaurant or a comedy club, drive to the city!

Maybe you could go for a short bike ride today if you have childcare and the weather is good..you dont have to do a serious ride... Some people say exercise helps (although not everyone..mast)...

Healed - I'm glad T contacted you this morning. I know you have no energy or desire to be productive, but you know it's what's needed in order to move out of this place. I find that it's the most difficult thing ever - pushing myself to do something when all I want is to crawl back in bed feeling completely lifeless.

Wiki - I hope you're able to gain some closure around this loss. (( HUGS ))

Hello to the rest of my couch peeps! I just woke up about a half hour ago and am trying to get the kinks out of my aching body.

I think some of the work I've been doing lately is affecting me. The other day (and all day tomorrow) I interpreted for someone who is inpatient at the psych ward of a hospital who attempted sui last week. It was hard to see all the people there, hearing about their suffering and knowing that I can relate so much to those feelings.

Then, last night, I was at the behavioral health center when a woman was taken to crisis at the hospital. And then got the emergency call to interpret for her at the hospital. She spoke of hearing voices telling her to kill herself - and the only person that saw her was the intake person. She didn't meet the criteria to get help there, so they sent her back home. I understood the reasons why, but dang couldn't they have at least given her a little help? Not even a lending ear. So disappointing.

Anyhoo...gotta get showered and head out to meet up with my paranormal group. Hope everyone has a good day.

MKAC... Its so cool that your daughter does so well at the summer program... Its always nice to have outside people confirm the things we see in our kids.

I hope finding your D a T that she is comfortable to work with isnt too hard. Between insurance and therapy types etc its difficult to weed through

ugh.. Just found out if we are going to go out tonight MIL would come over here to watch the kids b/c their house is a disaster from the work being done at their house this week. Which would mean I need to do some serious cleaning.. For some reason it is scary to say ok, I am gonna get out of my bed, clean, put some effort into my appearance and be nice to my h while we eat out tonight.

Not good. Not good at all. In route to cemetery. Should be me in that box. I was the one who was dying. I am the one who shouldn't have made 50. Those should be my kids falling apart.
