arg. Dead family member. H's side of the family...his nephew's wife. We are very close to them though. His nephew is my age, and their kids are my kids ages. I was closer to her than my SIL. (H's sister is 15 yrs older than him). The pisser is that I find out on Facebook. WTF? Doesn't anyone call when something happens any more? How could you just announce something like that? I don't even know how she died. I know she wasn't sick. They live out of state, so now I have to figure this all out. Really crazy. H's sister or one of his other nieces should have called. Or his mother...but she probably doesn't know yet either?

Is it me or is it strange that immediate family finds this stuff out on FB?

Still feeling pretty awful after a rough day yesterday. T session day was like like therapy-ultra light version. Heading to the medical doctor to get a bug bite checked out because it has a bulls eye ring, which combined with the massive headache and body aches and nausea, makes me think I may have an early stage of Lyme. I would dismiss it as me being paranoid but two of my friends have had it from tick bites at the state park where we usually ride.

Have I mentioned I feel pretty awful?

Wiki... I'm so sorry for your loss...

I think news just happens instantaneously with FB and it takes a while for family members to call... does everyone have your new phone number? Maybe they called your H and he's waiting to tell you when he gets home from work?

((MKAC)) don't mess with that lymes disease stuff. Take ALL of your antibiotics and REST.

Ready...I called my H, he didn't know. And our numbers haven't changed (we only use cell phones). Whatever...I am certain that we weren't left out of the loop on purpose, they must be going crazy right now. It just kind of shocked me, but I am calmed down.

MKC: I really hope it is not lyme's for you.

That was me on july 22 - thought it was the most violent flu I'd ever experiencedthe bulleye ring came out and I was diagnosed on the 27th with lyme's disease from the tick bite. I'm in the 2nd week of 3 weeks of antibiotics and only now regaining some energy. The inflamation from the lyme's paralized the right side of my face so can't close my eye or smile, etc. I look like a stroke victim. Bell's palsy has a good recovery rate but still have no feeling or movement. Taking steriods for that. And I'm still out of work. Still going to t though.

Everyone: Be very careful to check yourself for ticks!!! It takes 36 hours for them to transmit the disease.

Just finished my last conference call for the day and yes it is very surreal. I have driven to W's new apartment, 3 hrs away and did all the stuff she couldn't do, like put her bed together. It is very sad... very very very sad. It's all real, Im not a home owner and my life as I know it is no longer. Fighting the tears. Hope its not Lyme Disease MKAC... I just want to cry, matter of fact I am crying.

Bonnie Jean - my sympathies! Omg. One of the hardest parts for me when my eye was messed up last year was that the people at the hospital didnt know what I usually looked like. When my regular dr finally saw me, he was like, hey how come your eye is all droopy? I was like, ha you should have seen it before, it's better now! Let me know if you have any eyepatch questions.
Thanks for this!

It is traditional to hold off from a a general announcement until close family have been told.

Back from the doctor and a quick trip to my office. The doctor says it is more likely Ehrlichiosis because it is a lot more common than Lyme in our area. He went ahead and took blood, but gave me a prescription for antibiotics now because he also commented that nobody in the area has the flu and nothing is going around, so there isn't much else it could be at this point. Had to run to the office right after because my client who missed his appointment earlier in the week showed up today. I was ticked, but the appeal deadline is tomorrow, so I went. He was insistent at first that the appointment was today. When I reminded him that I said he could come in THIS MORNING or an afternoon earlier in the week, he said, "no, you said Thursday morning or X afternoon." Yes. Yes I did. Today is THURSDAY. At least he apologized and thanked me for coming in. Oh, and he was one of those people who say they will do ANYTHING and pay ANYTHING to appeal this case. When I told him the retainer, (several thousand dollars) he said he only had $300 in his account. sigh.

MKAC, yes I can bring a book. But last time I did that I got lost in my book and almost forgot to feed her lunch. Maybe I could try it again and set an alarm.
