Lola...hope you have a nice visit with your "little" one and W

MKAC Im sorry you had to change your plans but I bet you could find a way to still have fun...how about a short ride around your property... Or "camping" in the backyard...

So you could have the fun experience but D could still get her rest....

I always feel guilty when I do this type of thing esp when I chew the kids out about it.

The therapist suggested a 15 minute ride each day, so we're going to try that. A cookout over the fire pit would be fun also! Thanks for the suggestion.

Now that I have my own healthy ducks laying eggs, I have been making cookie dough and letting people eat it raw.
Thanks for this!

The first day was okay and she even did "extra" when she got home. Yesterday was absolute hell and she spent all evening sobbing. Today is better, but still lots of dramatic sighing and moaning. She tried to tell me yesterday that I had no idea what it's like to have pain so bad it's like someone has beaten you all over and it's difficult to move. Oh, right. I have NO idea what being beaten is like.

This sounds totally irrational but I know you guys will understand. Last night I hardly slept because I kept worrying that my ex might stay in his hometown and never bring the girls home. I know this highly unlikely but I can just hear my MIL in his ear....

Back to BBQs and ducks eggs.

Can you eat moose over there? I keep hearing about roadkill cafes but I'm not sure if they are a made-up thing.

I'm convinced roadkill cafes don't exist as the health and safety regs would be a nightmare, but we get told alsorts of bizarre things about the US. It's hard to tell. You think that can't possibly happen then something on the news and well maybe? Not saying the US has the monoploy on bizarre I mean the Valentine Killer or whoever he was in Italy was odd. and we have Ivan Milat.

I believe the term "Road kill cafe" refers to places that serve out of the ordinary wild game. Some people in the states eat moose, buffalo, alligator, Squirrel, goat, emu, wild hogs, doves, bison, crawfish among other things. My FIL is from Peru and they eat Guinea Pigs.
Thanks for this!
