I see my therapist at my college's counselling services. Tuition covers it, so I'm glad about that. There are only four counsellors working at my college.

Community mental health clinic. I would prefer a private practice t, but cannot afford that.

.
First T was in a community health clinic. LOTs of people and it kind of freaked me out, but that T was excellent. I waited outside to avoid the waiting room. Now, my T is in private practice. It is very quiet, but very expensive. Rarely do I see other clients. |

Private. In rooms in a nice old building where there are other people working but I rarely see anyone else passing through. I wouldn't really care if it was a more clinical setting, but I do feel thankful for the comfort of the current setup.

He is at a clinic.
My therapist was part of a day program I was in, that's where I met him. Now they moved to a building not far from my house, its very convenient.

When I started seeing my T he was in a group practice. It was alright for the most part although I did have quite a bit of anxiety about the waiting room. T told me that I could sit in my car until I saw his door open(as it was visible from the parking lot) and then I could walk right into his office while he walked the previous client to the receptionist's desk. I did this once and found it was stressful that way as well because I couldn't read as I was so concentrated on watching his door. I also figured that it was good for me to force myself to deal with the waiting room despite my anxiety.
After about 2 years he left the group practice and is now on his own. His office is in a separate building on a piece of property that he owns near his home. It works out well as he lives close to his office and yet is not working from his home. He seems much happier now and I prefer his new set up. |

Just her - she refers out to one particular pdoc and has a t in another private practice back her up if she's on vacation. Nope - would not want a different situation...this is ideal for me.

My T is in a private group practice that has 8-10 Ts in it. It is fine for me the way it is. I also wouldn't mind if it was just her.
