why my therapist abandoned me when I needed him the most. I am lost and sad. I just cannot understand. I don't think therapy will ever work for me. I am sick about this.

Why do you feel that your T abandoned you?

He wanted me to bring my husband in so he could tell him confidential information and I refused so he won't see me anymore. After seven years.

It wasn't due to either of those things.

Can you share what it was what he wanted you to share with your husband? I'm so sorry this has happened. Did he tell you just not to come back?

Why would a good therapist go bad like this and abandon someone?

I wish I could answer this

I very much doubt it's your "fault".

gentle hugs to you

WTH!? First off, I'm really sorry this happened to you. I'm really surprised and think that's ****** on their part. 95% of the reason I go to T is because they are bound to confidentiality. I would seriously think of filing a complaint on this T. It sounds like this T is trying to extort you by using your transference attachment, and hence abandonment, as a threat so you do what the T wants. I think that's F'd. I would ask your T the why question. What's T's motive?
