Stopdog, believe it or not, I also text in complete sentences. My d thinks I am a total weirdo. I hate text speak, but I do understand it (mostly). I have a 78 yr old friend who is going thru chemo (she's a delight) who texts like a teenage girl. Sometimes I find myself calling my kid over and asking what she is trying to say.

I also txt in complete sentences. I have to deal with txtspeak sometimes because I've done some research on language use on the Internet, but I do get annoyed by it sometimes, all the same.

T today was good. I just don't want to leave when my time is up. I don't like how dependent I'm becoming on going to therapy. I said that to T today. "So you wish I didn't have a job?" he said without missing a beat. Heh. I do like my T. And it feels as if I'm getting things done, too. I just wish I didn't feel so lonely between sessions.

Hello couchies. The snow is starting to fall. I told T I was going to distract and try to bring down anxiety by watching corny movies, drinking non alcoholic warm beverages, and hug a warm blanket. She bought it! Now, where's the vodka. (kidding)

The vodka is in my freezer. I was in the gas station getting lottery tickets and saw a single serve Margarita in a pouch that you freeze then sip. I bought one for $2. I think I will save it for Christmas eve. It will be my first (and last) alcoholic drink of 2013.

Fun fact: Sunrise this morning was at 7:33am and we will have 41 less seconds of daylight than yesterday. I am so very ready for winter solstice so the seconds start adding MORE sunshine!

Hey guys. Looking for some support. Today I woke up and got in a fight with my Grandmother about me going into a residential facility. She's being completely rude, egotistical, ignorant and snobbish about it. Completely invalidating me and disrespecting me. Thinking what's best for her MUST be best for everyone. Ugh.

My decision, my life, and if YOU don't like YOU can go focus on YOUR life and not stick YOUR nose in where it doesn't belong. Maybe that's why she has so many issues, she's always in everybody's life telling them what they should do and sticking her two cents in where it isn't welcomed; too much to focus on her own issues. Then she cries about being all alone and no one visiting her. Well she criticizes, judges, demeans and invalidates anyone that comes around and then insults them to everyone else behind their back. But you're right Grandmother, why wouldn't people want to be around such a wonderful person.

You can respect my decision as mine and not yours to make Gram, or be quiet. Your two options. Boundary. Respect it.

I have a grandmother exactly like this and I have not spoken to her in 2 years now .best decision I ever made. I use to be all about keep the family piece and all but decided I was sacrificing the people I love (my son) for the cause and I finely said no more.

No. I have no family support. However I printed out the conversation and am going to bring it to my T, Try to see Robin again. Which ever comes first. Just wanted to check in get my feelings out, make sure I'm not the crazy one here (Between my gram and I) XD
