In the morning I feel like I live in therapy mode. I spend the first 30 minutes to an hour working on DBT stuff and practicing what I can first thing in the morning. Sometimes I wonder if I'm putting too much into this? Then again you only get out what u put into it...right? I'm not overwhelmed or anything. So it can't be too bad...right? I just hope all I'm attempting to do pays off in the end! Although I think this focus will really pay off when T goes on maternity leave as I won't be focused on how long I have left till she gets back. Well I don't know what I'm looking for here. Just rambling I guess...

hi, you are not rambling, nothing wrong in what you are doing, you are right though you only get back what you put into it, and it will pay off as soon as your t goes into maternity leave. I am really proud of you, you are working hard at this. I really knew something would work for you, dont give up. I am going through a very rough patch right now, so I am trying to cope, but I just wanted to respond to your post because, I know you have been there done that, and I can relate. So keep it up ok.

You're where you're supposed to be.

I remember when first sober. I would do morning readings, practice meditation.
I don't need to do any if that now. But I did then.

The work your are doing with DBT is giving you skills that work for many different aspects of your life later. It has been almost 9 years since I did my DBT therapy. I use some of the skills on auto pilot now and others I need to brush up on from time to time. Keep up the Good Work

It's your life, and desire to grow, no such thing as putting too much into your wellness

Even, some of us, non-dbt folks, wake up in a reflective mood.

Thanks everyone for your input. It does feel good to finally be feeling better. I guess that's why I do what I do because I like the results.
