It annoys me a little when my T forgets to turn her phone on silent,so I could not imagine her texting or answering phone calls.

T time should be "the world revolves around me" time. Undivided attention on you.

I say talk to your T about it,you are not being needy,like you said you ARE paying for those sessions.

I can understand your struggles with intense anxiety. It is very difficult to speak up for yourself, especially in situations like these when one is battling emotions like you are.

I think that your father's advice would probably be the least confrontational...other than simply stopping with this T and moving onto another immediately. Personally, I believe that your father's advice could help you in a non-confrontational way.

When your T realizes that you've stopped talking, that's when they are going to have to apologize to you for being so rude. You could then say that their text activity during YOUR appointment is hurtful and insulting to you.
