I don't think I've ever forgotten anything. I don't usually bring much anyway.
Thanks for this!

I really don't think most therapist's would look in someone's bag. I have students and clients forget their backpack, briefcase, or bag in my office and it never crossed my mind until reading this thread that someone might look into another person's stuff if they accidentally left it behind.

I wouldn't consider it ethical for a therapist to look in a client's bag or purse without permission.
When I forgot my bag in my T's office, he was actually kind of cute reassuring me so much that he didn't look through it. I never thought he would. (I was going to maybe ask him to store my food somewhere if I couldn't make it back to his office that day, but I did so it was okay).

Once I forget to pay about the session
He called me when I was already out and then I ran back to him and felt so happy about this stupid accident because I could see him again for some minutes. He didn't believe that I really forget about paying.
I was thinking about leaving some thing in his office, that would be a nice reason to see him again.

I left my journal once - I was really anxious at the end of the session and just wanted out, and I had set my journal on the table. I grabbed my purse and phone and left. T saw it when I was halfway down the hallway and called out to me, so I went back and got it.

I've almost left my jacket a couple of times, just because it's not something I normally bring in with me unless it's really cold. I usually realize if I've forgotten that and turn around and go back for it right away. I've never actually left the building before either T or I realize that I've forgotten something.
