Do you feel sometimes that your therapist is making fun of your issues? There are a couple of times it really has felt that way. Other than those couple of times my therapist has been pretty awesome.

Not for me. And I don't think she should be. She's there to non-judgmentally help you. If you feel like she's making fun of you, then you definitely need to bring it up. If she confirms that she is indeed making fun of you, it's time to find a new T.

Well, there's a difference between making fun of and having a sense of humor about. We do get sooooooo serious in therapy - and that's okay, it's serious stuff.
However, a little splash of humor, used judiciously, can really provide levity and perspective. Is your therapist funny in general?

I don't see how my therapist making fun of me/my issues would help her or me. I use logic to override my feelings but also give myself the benefit of the doubt in that I assume my T is trying to help me so if I feel she is not, I still give her credit for trying and look to see what I can do on my end to help her help me. If, for the sake of argument, she seems to me to be making fun of me/my issues, I ask about it (reality check) or look to see if I can figure out why she may be doing that?
