Creepy.

Eek! There was a movie about that, as Tametc says.

All the discussion lately about how the couch has changed has left me confused. I only started posting in November of 2013, so I don't have a lot to compare. I just know I feel welcomed and supported, and if I disagree with someone, I usually just brush it off. But, I can't help but think of the late Dorothy Parker, a gossip columnist, who had an embroidered pillow on her sofa that read, "If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit by me." I like to laugh at myself. If I ever offend anyone, please let me know. It's not my intent.

that is a great goal to have, and you are already heading down that path!

Hi Wiki...

Thanks for asking, I'm here just lurking around a bit.

Hello couch. I'm okay. Adjusting to meds. Taking a benzo 3 times a day keeps anxiety down enough to get through the day.

I hope you are all doing okay. Love, Jersey.

P.S I'll reach out to MUE on FB and ask her to check in.

Tam...no worries, you fit right in.
The people have changed, when we first started it was a lot more fun and hooliganism. Except SD, she attempted to keep us in line.

Lola (aka ccbloom) used to be the rabble rouser, but honestly it didn't take much, and there were a lot of Friday night drinking parties, which is where "don't text T while intoxicated" came in to play. There was a "breast" thing, and the bad eaters would shout cool whip to which I would post a list of ingredients (which included sex lube).
I used to award wiki points to people who made SD say ack, made Granite whip out her spritzer, quoted monty python for Apt (aka Mast)...and when ever I felt like it.

Craziness, I miss you all.

(((Jerz))) Watch out for those benzos, okay kiddo? Sometimes they lower your impulse control. I am glad they're helping with the anxiety though.

Can't wait to see "Son of God" tonight at 10 PM, I believe that it contains scenes from "The Bible" mini-series which I thought was very good.

Thanks. I will. The P-Nurse said that I will only be taking them 3 times a day till the other meds kick in then we will lower it to only 1 time a day. She needed to nip the anxiety in the bud ASAP. I see her again in 2 weeks.
Thanks for this!

Wiki, that does sound like fun. COOL WHIP! (I know one ingredient is coconut oil, which is actually a pretty good sex lube!)

So happy for you, Granite, and proud of you. You've worked hard to get to this point.

Hey, Jerz, that's good news. It must be a relief to not have the anxiety at such a high level as before. It sounds like your p-nurse is a good one.

Well, the adjuster told me that because my car is a '95, and because it originally had a salvage title, he had to consider it "totalled". I certainly can't afford to replace it, and it runs great and doesn't even burn any oil, so I'm going to keep it. They are sending me a check for about $700, which is taking into consideration my $150 deductible and the salvage value of around $200 (which the insurance co would get if not for the fact that I am keeping the vehicle). I know it won't cost anywhere near that to get the thing fixed, so it will give me a little cash to pay bills that my trust usually pays for. So, it was a blessing in disguise after all.

I am drying my nut pulp to make into walnut flour.
It takes forever.
(And for those of you thinking about going there over the nut pulp - don't make me have to say Ack)

I wasn't really talking about religion, I just meant that I was going to see a movie tonight which contains scenes from a mini-series which aired on The History Channel last year. I mentioned no views or opinions on the subject whatsoever, I was merely stating my plans for the night.

I did say that I enjoyed the mini-series but that is strictly from a production value point of view, there have been movies and television specials based on religions that I don't follow that I also thought were very good, and likewise there have been things produced about the religion that I do follow which I thought weren't that good at all (either poorly put together or something along those lines).

I must sheepishly admit, that several weeks ago when you mentioned nut pulp, my twisted sense of humor tried to go there, but I restrained myself. Which I will do once again.

It also sucks that I may have to cancel not only my Therapy session scheduled for Monday afternoon but something else that I had planed for Sunday night, the winter storm couldn't come at a more worse time for me.

I'm going to go see the movie .and I hope you can post on the couch what you feel you want to . unless the rules have changed . I did not See you cramming religion down anyones throat and there are others who spend a lot of time posting about there religious issues and going to church on here so don't feel it should be any different for you . I don't believe ready or healed were ever told to go post on another thread about there experiences with church or religion .

Hello couchies. I've been a bit lost lately. I'm trying to sort out my relationships with my daughters and T. I actually came out and said that there are issues I have raised in the past that I need to bring up again and we discussed my avoidance and the best thing to do was to just keep talking about these issues and the anxiety will lessen over time. I am just so freaked out about dissociating and the physical sensations. We have agreed to take it slowly but I feel I need to step the pace.
Anyway it has stopped raining here, but being in the tropics this means lots of bugs.
I have stopped smoking and my anxiety has decreased significantly. I used to smoke because I was anxious but smoking just increased it. Oh weelll live and learn.
Hope everyone (that incldes you lurkers) has a great day.
Has anyone heard from squirrel? I miss her updates.
RTS glad things are looking up with your H.
