Agree. There is not much we can learn from a situation if we don't understand why it happened. Why is it difficult to just tell the truth? I get that it takes time and effort to distill situations down to the essence of what happened and why, but in trying to move forward from a situation, unless we truly understand what happened and why, then it seems to me we will just keep experiencing similar situations. knaveG, I hope you find a good T who will be able to help you understand what happened here and why, and then help you work through this, because it doesn't sound like you will get the answers you are hoping for from the T who terminated you. Sorry to hear it was so painful for you.

I don't see how this behavior would
not be because of mental illness. What person who is not mentally ill has done any behaviors such as this. I'm sorry, but this patient in the psych unit you work in, nottrustin, sounds like they do have a mental illness, and it is good they are getting help. I'm not saying this behavior is ok, all I am saying is that if a person were in their right mind, they wouldn't be behaving as you described. I hope the unit is able to help this person because it is clear to me they need it. Sounds like it was pretty traumatic for everyone involved.
