I saw her this morning around 9.
I told her about a period I was feeling really suicidal and I mentioned something about an extension cord in my room. She tells me to remove the cord from my room. any way she calls me just now and asked if I removed the extension cord from my room and I lied and said yes. I use this cord to power things in my room. I told her I'm not going to hurt myself and It was just a period about a week ago I was planning to do end my life with it. THere are a bunch of cords in my room now that I actually think about. What does she want me to do? Go to a padded room? The forest

I think that's a reasonable lie to tell, simply because it's not practical to remove it. Just don't hurt yourself.

She wants you to be honest with her about having these thoughts so she can help you and check on your safety.

When I was hospitalized I told the staff that my home was "safe"...it was filled with cords, ties, scarves, kitchen knives, etc...I just wanted to go home, and I knew that the ideas of ending my life had passed. I think that therapists, sometimes, err on the side of caution. Needless to say, I did stay safe...I hope, as HazelGirl did above, that you don't hurt yourself.
