I find that news to be quite disturbing.

We are having a thunderstorm here tonight. My poor dog hasn't experienced this in a while, and she is nervously pacing around the house. I just stay calm and hope she takes her cue from me. Storms never bothered her until about 2 years ago, when we had a thunderclap so loud that it shook the windows in my apartment, and startled both of us out of a sound sleep. Now it is pouring rain, and there's lightning. I think I'll close the blinds all the way so the lightning doesn't freak her out.

The storm is over, and she's fine now. If I go to bed, she will go into her kennel in the bedroom when she's scared. Usually, she sleeps with me, but she chooses her kennel when she's afraid. She knows the difference between "Mama's bed" and "Jewel's bed". If I am going to be gone for the day, and the weather is too cold or too hot to take her with me in the car, I tell her "Time for a nap in Jewel's bed", and she trots into the bedroom and waits in her kennel for me to close the door. She likes it when I cover it with a blanket, like covering a birdcage. I also play a CD for her when I'm gone, called "Music My Pet". It's classical music that's specially orchestrated to be calming to animals (and people)!

F U C K this damn world and all the greedy money hungry people in it .3.ooo wasn't enough so lets send the cat home half dead so she will bring it back and we can start it all over again with the same blood work and putting the Foley and caths back in and charge again for that .lets not forget the 300 dollar stabilization fee because I would once again have to bring him in through the emergency room.
sure he is peeing but he is doing it all over himself

I am just so so angry right now . the should have never sent him home .he was not ready .I was not even pushing it .I even asked if they were sure . I am wanting to bring him back at 8 so I don't have to pay a night fee also

I'm so sorry, granite. Fingers and paws crossed here that he will get better. Nothing so awful as a pet that won't eat...

Good Morning, afternoon, evening.....

Survived my first night of missed therapy with just a little crankiness.... Still tear up if i let myself think about it too much...

The potential new T called me but I was in a meeting so I will need to call her back.... Feeling hesitant about starting again with someone new....

I am slowly starting to feel better, I will probably end up going to do the setup I need to do today but my throat is still not 100 percent.

Also I called my disability lawyer's office today (returning the call that they made to me yesterday) and they told me that I have a hearing scheduled for August 15th, which is some good news for me.

Poor kitty. I'm glad he's being taken care of. Hugs to you.

Spent the last two days throwing up. My entire body hurts worse than after any workout video ever.

Wikid, I hope you are feeling better!

Granite, I hope your cat is better. Mine is still wobbly, but seems not to be in pain and is still really enthusiastic about her food, so we're just kind of in a holding pattern.

Stopdog, I thought you had to use crocks for kraut? I've never heard of using a jar. Also, my H says brewing kimchi is the worst smell EVER. A good friend of his in college was from Korea and tried making some in their dorm and nearly got expelled. LOL.

I meant a crock or heavy ceramic jar. But you can start with small batches in glass jars. Kimchi does seem to have its own unique scent.
