ambifoocterous

i decided a few years ago that maybe one day i will learn to drive stick shift, so i taught myself to brake with my left, and use gas with my right foot with my automatic. now i do that without thinking.
Thanks for this!

My car that I drove all through college and law school was a stick shift. The first time I tried to drive my dad's automatic, I kept slamming the brakes on, trying to shift it.
Thanks for this!

I don't think that I could drive anything but an automatic.

My first car was a '63 Buick Special. Three on the tree and 231 cubic inch V6. Hell on wheels.

Was she "ported and relieved"? (What does that mean anyway?)

Nice Beach Boys reference. I'll admit, it went right past me, though it seemed vaguely familiar.

I always liked driving a stick shift.

So, I am going to the wildlife clinic tomorrow and doing some desk duty. I WILL NOT stop things that give me pleasure. Life is way to short to not do what warms you on a regular basis.
Don't you need one foot for the gas pedal and one for the brake? I started to learn how to drive, over 20 years ago, but never got a licence. But I seem to remember needing two feet, though perhaps that was because of the clutch (at least back then, you had to learn to drive a stick shift car, not automatic. Maybe it's different now.)

stopdog, I just wanted to say how very sorry I was to read your news.

I learned how to drive a stick on a '67 Chevy with three on the tree. I could hardly believe how easy it was to drive the more modern stickshifts. I miss driving a stick.

I like "ambifoocterous". I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

ambifoocterous - HA HA HA...thanks Hankstah.

Mast (((missed you))) - you only need one foot in an automatic, but you do need 2 in a standard. But even in a stick, you use your right foot on the gas and the break and your left on the clutch. Except I know people with CP that do use 2 feet in an automatic and do just fine.

My first car - 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger. ROFL. She was sweet baby. Slant 6, sexy, and lots of power. Automatic. I learned a stick when I got married, it wasn't bad because I grew up riding dirt bikes. I do like a stick better, but I drive a automatic hybrid now. I want a smart car though.

You people are right as usual. Thank you for making me put my family first. I will use the walker when I am home alone. You have a lot of smahts for crazy peeps.

im glad to hear you will consider using the walker for a bit. you could deck it out with streamers on the handles and a bell and what not. or maybe use a cane or a walking stick . those are awesome options also

TRIGGER

I had horrible dreams last night about my son dying and me and the mother being caught in a tornado when we were visiting my sons farther in prison. my son was just a child in my dream .
I hardly ever remember my dreams and every time I do it seems it is a dream about loosing my son

as I write this omg hows that for drama. sounds like something right out of a disaster movie the only thing missing was the happy ending when all the family finds each other and lives happy ever after. I woke up when I was holding tightly onto a tree getting blown around crying to myself (sons name please hold on to a tree over and over again) end scene

it was not the best dream . I do have some awesome stuff planned for today though .I am going to this plant nursery to build this fairy garden in a wagon to put in my yard and then this evening I am going to this class run by this scrapbooking celebrity that is well known for her colored pencil work. seeing as I use colored pencils to color my cards that I make I am hoping i will be able to learn some new techniques

It's lovely granite

Don't let your family get to you. It is not wasted talent at all - you use it to create beautiful things. ((Hugs))
