He has never said it in connection with things I do or thoughts I have, only about things that are done to me. That's an important difference, I think. When I express thoughts or wishes of mine, which I think are weird or abnormal, T sometimes says "that is human", which is much better than saying that it's "normal".
Totally get your perspective on that one. And yeah, I totally get the "that is human" concept and wouldn't argue that.

My T told me it was abnormal for me to never fear strangers. Se thought it was also bad my mother would have friends of hers we kids didn't know pretend to snatch us to make sure we learn stranger danger. I was the only one who willingly went every time And never learned the concept. T thinks that "exercise" my mother did was very damaging and showed how much hell I was in as a child at home.

Of course I don't remember any of this. My mother told me it once a while back before I stopped speaking to her. Mother laughed about it. I also did t think anything of my showering habits until she told me they were the norm. See my showers I can't get them under 30min. I just don't feel clean and I show multiple time a day. When I first went to college it all got masked do to living in a rainforest and my mornin surfs, and working. So I showered like 5x a day didn't think about it. But I've always done this, at least as far back as I recall.

My T wouldn't ask this. I wouldn't like it if he did. He will comment - very thoughtfully and carefully - if I ask if something is normal.

I think it's a pointless question because you need context. I did things that weren't normal for a child full stop but were a normal reaction to certain situations.
