Do you ever feel like you're too busy and overwhelmed with all the stuff going on in life, that therapy becomes an extra burden?
I haven't seen T for 4 months because I have been really busy, working all the time, and hardly sleeping. I miss her a lot, but I cringe at the thought of taking 3.5 hours out of my schedule to see her. I want to call her to say hello, and let her know I miss her, but afraid she would feel insulted if I don't make an appointment when I call. I am not able to take a day off work, and it will be a while before I can make time to see her again. I feel scared T would feel like I'm not appreciating her help and wasting the opportunity to see her. |

I think you should reach out. It will do your heart good by the sounds of it. You can always explain how snowed under you are at work, that you are keen to make an appointment when you have a less manic work phase and that you just want to touch base because you appreciate her.

Maybe you can see her every other week for awhile?
I know what you mean!! My CBT T and I are meeting tomorrow after he has been away for 8 weeks. The thought of doing more homework makes me exhausted! |
