The response seems to almost read like Madame T was randomly sending mail. You initiated, and then are emotional because she responded? If she didn't there would be a thread "Haven't heard from Madame T..." talking about how you sent something, didn't explicitly tell her not to respond, and she's just ignored you.
If you really and truly want this wound closed, you stitch it yourself, not hoping she will do it for you? She hasn't so far, and that SUCKS and is AWFUL. But it's not fair to initiate and then when she comes back act as a victim like she is just insisting contact when its the other way around?

I still contend this could be a bill. No matter what is written in that letter, a letter from a collection agency would be worse. Far far worse - at least in my mind.

Yes, I'm a drama queen. But:
