Sounds good! Mm!

Another fantastic roasted vegetable is Brussels sprouts. They crisp up and burst with flavor. Must make again, the girls fought over them!

I tried to roast asparagus but something went horribly awry and I ended up with twigs! Can't win them all!!
Oh yeah - roast asparagus - they are very tricky. You have to keep an eye on them. Theyre too skinny. Pardon my size-ism

Eta - i should start a thread, or count the days when im sober for not ordering a pizza

I have wine and I plan to get into it as soon as the kids are asleep. I also have peanut butter and I am not touching it.

Granite.

I'm sorry things are so scrambled up right now. I get that feeling of not knowing what is real and what has to do with me. I get reactionary just knowing when other people are upset with each other and it doesn't relate to me....it would be harder still if I didn't know...

I hope things become more clear with time.

I really wanted to believe it would be helpful, but T concluded I may not be ready for it. After all I was the one pushing to do it. We are getting back to it when I feel less challenged by the process.
Thanks for this!

There was that whole wine and pb debacle a while back, JS, does the memory still evoke painful memories? The answer is: (Couch) 84. The question is... you need cheese, yes?

Hankster, asparagus is so yummy, yet expensive and I was so furious that I ruined that whole batch! SD I've never grilled it, but sure and I'm going to try it now!

Did SD mention asparagus? I love it roasted with a small amount of sesame oil and toasted sesame seeds.

On another topic…I think my mechanic fleeced me. Was talked into an engine flush now I'm reading online that most car manufacturers don't include it on a maintenance schedule.
I hate being a car newbie at 42.

I am pretty impressed with myself regarding the powdered peanut butter, i must say. I got a bunch of bathroom size dixie cups at trader joes to mix it in, so i dont have to keep using my espresso cups, but they will last me a freakin lifetime, one ounce of peanut butter at a time. Soupy pb just doesnt have quite the same appeal as a nice sticky jar of Jif but it also doesnt trigger me
Thanks for this!

I am impressed with you, too! Especially because I had never even heard of powdered peanut butter before you mentioned it!

Reassurance please!! It's not an impulse buy if you've researched for months, budgeted, and really need the item, even though you woke up at 3am and bought it because you were up, it was quiet, and the couch was deserted?

Just checking!

Well, he took it upon himself to do that, so let him own the discomfort, and you have right of refusal. If they say yes, what would the stipulations be? You have to park it at their house, no driving after dark, and stop running the roads, we are not a taxi service!! Oh, wait, that would have been my parents, not his, sorry I got confused!

What I mean is, if they offer the loan and you need the loan, don't feel beholden to them. Pay it back and carry on. You have kids in common, they need a safe mode of travel.

I laughed about parking it at their house, they live 473 km away. I have been wishing they cant do a loan. I could raise the money myself in a couple of months. The exs neighbour was selling his old toyota, he said the car was reserved in his name.etc it just seemed like fate but i was thinking he engineered it this way. Argh this man is doing my head in

They can't stop, they see a problem they have to fix it. I'm not sure if it's a man thing or a control thing. I'm a fixer but female, so in me it is a control thing. In a way it's infuriating because he's taking your power away, but in another way it's so nice to have backup!

Good luck in your decision lady!

I know about the power thing. I am heading into a depression so decision making is not great. It is all too easy to hand it to him and say fix it.

lol I've done that before. Online shopping in the middle of the night. I only buy "needs" as our budget is tight. Though I currently have a bit of birthday/Christmas money left. I totally want a Mac mini.

I have a MacBook Air. I've had it 5 years and it's the best computer I've ever owned.

I like the iMacs, but I don't have that much money. Also, I still require a Windows computer for work so I would need both computers on the same desk. I *think* I can use a peripheral sharing box between a PC and a Mac mini. So then two computers, but only one keyboard, mouse, and monitor. I would just press a button on the box to choose which computer uses the peripherals.
