Bah. Men. Not all men. But our men. lol. Mine is often the same with issues like that. I make most child related decisions myself. He only has something to say about it after the fact, if it fails.

Sorry he is of no help. Is there someone else you can bounce things off?

I miss being bored lol

<rant>Yeah. Sometimes people annoy me. And I'm so socially awkward that I'm sure I don't help things. But no need to give me the death stare because I won't buy a sleeper that has a tight zipper down the leg. I wanted snaps. Besides, I'm the one spending money. If I wanted a zipper I would go buy the $4 sleeper at Walmart rather than the $10 ones at Carters. At least the Walmart ones have wider legs so the zipper is ok. Bah. </rant>

That is actually what we have been doing since I started working again.. Now, our friend who is military is moving out of country, and I can't find anybody else who is willing to. So, that is why we are looking into actual daycare centers..A lot of it is my fault because when it comes to making a big decision I can't. I get overwhelmed and anxiety takes over. I am so afraid of making a bad decision.

Oh... And I totally get the fear of making a bad decision. I've made so many with baby's care so far it's incredible. Trial and error. Bah.

Will your son go to kindergarten next year? Will he be able to go where you work or will he go to public school? Have you checked to see if there are any daycare centers that transport to public schools especially if kindergarten is half a day? This way you sort of have an in for next year?

Yes, he will go to kindergarten next year.. though, I am not sure where he will go. But it is will be whole day wherever he is. I am trying to find centers who focus on more academics, because he has only had 10 weeks of preschool. He knows what he needs to know for kinder.. but he needs to learn how to sit and follow as schedule, etc.

when my oldest boy was in preschool he was very verbal and smart but behind in fine motor skills like scissors and writing and was getting frustrated so the public school evaluated him and was going to send an OT to his preschool and when they visited for the day they said the preschools expectations were equivalent with public school 1st grade... So he went to the public school preschool. Just saying expecting 4and 5 year olds boys to behave like 6orb7 year olds or girls is unrealistic. Were there anyof the places with openings have lots of boys in the class.. Do circle time and then lots of hands on stuff? If I visited a preschool and saw a coloring page or worksheet, I would keep looking.
Thanks for this!

Gosh.... I'm already nervous about sending my kids to school and that is still at least 3 years away for one and 5 years for the other.

There was one place that seemed like they did a variety of stuff.. not just worksheets. The only problem with that, is that it was the biggest center with the most kids. It made my son so nervous, loud rooms with lots of people either trigger his anxiety or there is just too much stimulation and is sensory overload.. We plan on going back and visiting that place again, just to see if he feels more comfortable there the second time around.

Hi <candidate T>

I lost a valued relationship a couple of years ago and I need to work that through.
I want to know why it went wrong and if there is any chance of repairing it.

Can you help me? Mr T gave me your card.

I had a silly interaction with my T last night via fb.. His practice's fb page, it was about him being dressed up as a pirate.
