Anyone else have to pee 50 times before their session? I have to stop drinking water 2 hours before and I'll still pee 4 times on the way over and it's only a block away! Once at my office, once downstairs at my work and twice at her office. I guess it's my anxiety - no cleanse needed here!

Oh gods yeah! Another aspect of boring job involves getting address and credit card info from suspicious seniors. No! I am not going to steal your social security check!

Worker's rights are very weak in the US.

American businesses are quick to lay people off but also quick to rehire them. That's why the US is the first country into each recession and also the first out.

In Europe (especially countries like Italy), they think very hard before hiring anyone, because it's a lifetime commitment.

I have 20k+ customers I have to deal with. Yes, I take mental health days and yes, I say "what, seriously?". Oh, the never ending joys of something new everyday... I can say I've heard and seen it all but something will always happen that proves that statement wrong.

No... but I always have to pee after. Probably because I drink a coffee during my session... then I escape to the loo after.

My last job I rarely had "down time" that I was trying to fill. However, the odd time when I did I could almost always find something to do. I am pretty OCD about straight lines so lining up jars of medication on the shelf was very pleasing.

I have spent the last 2 1/2 hours being OCD about labels and flyers. I'm running out of things to be OCD about

Have you talked about it?

I always peed as soon as I arrived AND as I was leaving.
It's the downside of being properly hydrated.

How about dust? lol I disliked dust. I also enjoyed mopping the mucky floors. So mindless and enjoyable.

When I'm on site but have nothing immediate to do, I amuse myself by sharpening their pencils.

LOL When I would go to meetings at other locations or fill in at them I had a habit of cleaning certain things. The boss could usually tell I had been there.

Actually she knows I always have to use her bathroom before my session. I just told her last session about in the middle that I had finally stopped shaking. I shake like if I was cold. She asked if I was scared of her. I laughed and said no. I think I'm scared of the unknown: what will I say, how will she react, will the session go well or will I have a crappy week, etc. She said something about people getting nervous speaking in front of others. Not me....give me a room full of 50 people and I won't get nervous at all. Go figure...

I am incredibly nervous speaking with others when it comes to certain things. Pretty much anything personal and I have a hard time and it doesn't matter who it is.

Now, something like reading In Flander's Field in front of half my high school was perfectly fine. I've also done PR for some local bands, photography, and marketing. Or in my last job I spent a lot of time interviewing and hiring as well as training new employees. I was also in charge of monthly training initiatives. So having a group of people sitting in front of me while I spoke was also fine.

It just depends if I am connected to what I am saying or if it is just reciting information.

Good point: connected to what you're saying vs reading.

That's an interesting distinction! For me it is more about which role I am in - when I'm in my teacher persona it's usually not a big problem for me, though it's become much easier with experience (not unexpectely). But I find it easier to teach subjects that I feel genuinely interested in - if I'm reciting information and nothing else I am more nervous and do a worse job.
