On a related note, I miss being around horses/ponies. Not that I was ever much good at riding, too scared, but the idea of it was nice... I think I'd be braver now...

I decided to wear a skirt and boot outfit (a shirt too of course). Everyone at work is asking me why I'm dressed up. After a few hours in these boots I'm wondering the same thing. Will have to take them off in my session! Hope my feet don't stink! Luckily she has candles lit in the room.
Thanks for this!

lol... This made me laugh. Any time I wear anything other than jeans, plaid flannel, and hoodies people think I'm dressed up. Plus, the shoes I wear daily are ten years old.

id like some opinions.... if you were to be layed off, would you prefer to be so in the morning or right before you go home?

No problem. My husband works in an industry where layoffs are common. They always seem to happen before lunch. Usually early morning.

morning.

Hi. I am going to biotch. I hate "mind readers".
Not the casual
"let's eat at green lotus"
"oh great, you read my mind"
type of mind reading. The people who really think they know your intentions.

"Wow, it looks like snow"
"You said that because you are trying to push my buttons"
"well, no, I just said that because I noticed it."

or

"You haven't called me in two days, you're angry with me"
"actually, I've been really sick and just haven't had the time"
"no, that's bull. You're angry and you know it"
"really, no, I'm not. At least I wasn't, but I kind of am pissed now"
"see, told you that you were angry"

Can you guess my conversations this morning?

I hate it when people tell me I'm angry and I'm not. That's the quickest way to make me angry.

oh..

and by the way...

I am craving a bacon double cheese burger.
preferably greasy.

How does a vegan (for over a decade) crave something as nasty as that?
Must be because I'm angry with someone. lol

I compromised and paid them through the end of the day and let them leave as soon as I told them. All took it pretty well.

Nope, that would make me SO mad, they let me work the whole day knowing they were going to let me go?

Lola, who is getting axed? Sorry, that sounds awful. Who is being downsized?

I agree. I would feel used if I had worked the whole day and then got fired. I think that was a good compromise, lola. Sorry you had to do that. I've been in that position before and it sucks.

Don't you have any period of notice in the States? Or is that different depending on the workplace?

no, you really don't have to give any notice , nor a reason in my state. Its oil related downsizing. I had to release 2 people over the phone as they didn't come in today.

Well my positive attitude went further out the window when I got to work and found an email from my sup warning me to watch my words more carefully. Apparently I have been less than super professional in response to angry/rude callers like he heard me say "what?" instead of "I am sorry, could you repeat that?" jeez when I'm getting cussed out I think a simple "what" is a whole lot more professional than hanging up on a jerk which is what I wanted to do, sigh, I feel like I am never good enough for this man. I swear he is exactly like my mother. I was good enough to recently get a raise, so why am I never good enough for this sup? My previous sup wrote the review that got me the raise. Well at least we change sups evey 6 months. I need to get away from this one. He is going to undermine all of my work in therapy if I let him he is so much like my mother. Tinks he is perfect and no one else measures up. Omg I am activated right now. I need to calm the fk down and get centered again.

Rant over, you may now carry on! Lol

Yep. Being accused of being angry or annoyed or grumpy.... Instantly turns me into whatever I'm accused of. It's an annoying quality I have.
