I ised to be terrified of making my first therapist angry, if she ever got mad i wold be heartbroken and scared.
New t, she and i get into arguments all the time, sometimes yelling, sometimes telling each other off, swearing. It doesnt bother me. I know she is not going anywhere, I know we will work it out, if we are mad it might last an hour or so and that is it, and then we will be fine, say i love you, and move on woth life. |

She cursed at me once. I can't remember the exact conversation, but I had been emotional that day and made some sort of statement, to which she yelled, "BS!" And then she apologized because I started crying.
Other than that, she curses frequently in sessions, and I curse every once in a while. I'm the type of person who swears all the time on her own, but rarely in front of other people. |

I was going to say "No, definitely not", but if "BS" counts as cursing rather than simply as vulgarity, then yes, he has said that once or twice in response to statements I've made. But not in an aggressive way, and it did not make me feel threatened or anything like that.
He does curse sometimes; not all the time, but occasionally. As do I. I think those words have a different load to him than to me, since we speak his native language and my second language. |

Never. I think she's even reluctant to repeat back a phrase I sometimes use, "pissed off." Lol
Years ago I had a pdoc that did not swear *at* me, but loved to use the f-word. In women's group, it wouldn't be unusual for him to discuss how fantasies are normal and how he had already f'd each of us in his fantasies. Curiously, he was so charismatic that it didn't come off as a red flag to any of us at the time. He would enter the room and it seemed like he brought sunshine with him..he was so positive and upbeat. I haven't been his patient for years. About three years ago I found out he had a mental disease that affected his judgement, etc.. He's the Pdoc that's in federal prison (not for anything he did with me.). Sad. It's difficult for patients to know how stable our therapists are. |

No never directed at me. We curse a lot in our conversations but never something offensive.

Never. And she wouldn't either. If my t swore at me or expressed anger towards me I would be devastated. I am highly sensitive. I would immediately get up and walk out to never return again. I get easily hurt by things way less than that. My t is patient, kind, and gentle.
