So I got to the beer section and stood there looking blankly at all these choices I know nothing about. Felt very Rip Van Winkle until I overheard a hip young couple, "What shall we get?" "Dunno. Don't know one from the other." "Let's get that. I like the name."

I got the beer, drank a couple gulps, and 2 hours later it's still sitting there. A drinker I am not.

I will try the salsa. Pineapple sounds good.
Thanks for this!

I love ISIHAC. I have lots of episodes as mp3s and sometimes when I feel very low I'll listen to one of them and it never fails to make me laugh. ("This week's prize is the latest in Zen furnishing: it is an occasional table.") I haven't really listened to the show since the death of Sir Humphrey Lyttelton (who was the chairman of the programme from its start in 1972 until his death in 2006, if memory serves me right). But there's more than enough of the classics to last me for a long time.

And yes, I do play the game called Mornington Crescent.

I vaguely remember hearing about it as a teen, I was a Goodies fan, did you get them?
I rediscovered them about 2 weeks ago and I am wasting my days away falling of my chair laughing. I haven't heard the Jack Dee ones yet but Humprey Lyttleton could pull off a good (excuse the spelling) double entendre dead pan.
And Mornington Cres, the game with no rules or rules you make up on the way.

I don't think The Goodies was ever broadcast here; at that time there were only two TV channels in Sweden, so I don't think they imported that many shows. Though we had no TV at home when I grew up so I might simply have missed it. I've heard a lot about it from fellow ISIHAC fans though, and I would like to see it - I'm guessing there might be episodes on YouTube....

Grrrr! Feeling angry that I have had no pay rise for the past five years.
It's not the money, it's the lack of respect.

(((CE))) Yes, the level of pay is about so much more than just the amount of money you get. It's strange and infuriating that companies don't realise that - or that they don't seem to care about the impact of the lack of a pay rise.
Thanks for this!

Blarg. I think I'm coming down with something. Most likely I caught the dreaded lurgi at Easter, when I spent five days in a hotel with 1000 other people; I've been feeling slightly unwell since I came back to Sweden but it's not until today that I've had time to actually get ill. For once it's actually pretty nice that it is the weekend. I think I'll bring a book and a pot of tea with me to bed.

Don't worry healed. No sleeping here.

I've locked myself in the bedroom. I cannot function today.

Well, maybe you need a day locked in the bedroom? Not a bad idea! Hang in there, cat!

I definitely have a crush on someone, and last night we stayed up pretty late texting silliness to each other. The cheap sake definitely helped me have fun with it. Now I'm sober and full of anxiety over this. I'm f-ing terrified to get close to another person right now. This person makes me feel tingly all over, and because of that they straight up scare the living hell out of me. :|

Mani/Pedi day and then the grocery... No sleeping here either, except I did manage to get more last night than I have in awhile.
