They are really yummy with baby kale or the mixed baby salad greens. That or i am just turning into an old italian lady. Which my playwright group said was "the role i was born to play." Yeah duh literally!

About relationships, and what relationships should be like, and what to expect from a partner, and so on. And I don't think I have ever really recognised any of those things - though that's probably a case of selective memory. I can say that there are many such things that I do not recognise. Note that I am not talking about what I might want from a r/s, or what might make me happy, or anything like that - that's a different kettle of frogs. I just don't live in a world where those things are possible or part of real life outside the realm of fiction.

I know that there is a real cultural difference here - in English (at least in Britain and the US) it is as a general rule much more acceptable to express oneself in absolutes, and to say things like "we want x, y and z from our lives" without actually meaning anything other than "I and my two best friends want x, y, and z from our lives, and I assume that some other people do, too". In Swedish, if you say "we want x", then you mean "people want x" and there is a very strong implication that if you don't want x, there is something wrong with you. (My best friend is driven crazy by this - he is from the US, and even after many years in Sweden he can't get used to the way Swedes tend to look at all sides equally, and avoid saying anything absolute. His therapist, who is English, has told him that it's a very common source of frustration for British and American expats in Sweden.)

There was a former member of PC who kept claiming that everybody in the world except for him had some kind of secret knowledge, and who kept asking and asking how he could acquire that knowledge... sometimes, I feel a little like that, too. I mean, I know that there is no conspiracy to keep me out of the loop, and in fact there is no loop, but it does feel, at times, like I'm missing some kind of essential organ.

Wall of text. Sorry.

Speaking for myself:

I often thought of myself as socially inept. I kept reading people wrong and saying the wrong thing.

But my wife assured me that she can't always read people either, and she says the wrong thing sometimes. The difference between us is that I thought people should be readable and was distressed that I "lacked a power" that others have. Others don't have this power either! But they don't expect people to be so predictable that they can be read.

Human relationships can't be mastered in the way that grammar can be mastered.

I see it slightly differently.

Truth is absolute but it doesn't apply to humans.

There's nothing wrong with crying if you need to cry.

RE: Dinner (someone posted what to have for dinner a few posts back)
I just sauteed some garlic with kale, watercress and spinach - mixed in some chickpeas (this week's bean of the week - I make a pot of beans every Sunday to add to dishes throughout the week - that way I don't have to worry about the soaking etc at the last minute) and brown rice.
Quick and delicious.

Ended up getting chicken and rice from the halal cart for dinner. I don't know what they put into that white sauce, but it's straight up addictive.

Is it garlicky? If so - it could be Toum a super addictive and delicious sauce which is garlic, olive oil and a bit of lemon juice. I can eat it on just about anything.

Lately I've been making very huge salads, like filling up a medium sized rice cooker bowl. Mostly greens but whatever else looks interesting or I need to use up. Craving them. Include some form of protein (today tempeh, a few days ago several pounds of fresh fava beans) and eating it all day. Finished today's so getting a bag of bargain peppers and frying that with leftover fermented cooked millet/amaranth mix. Sour and good.

On another topic I was gonna take a break from PC but it looks like not. Slowing down some is all.

It's more of a yogurt / mayo-based lemony sauce, though that Toum recipe sounds amazing and will definitely be added to my summer grilling menu! I think this is the closest thing to it:

I took my stop dog lessons to heart today. (Stopdogging/ To Stopdog is officially a verb)

Told CBT T today that I resented that he hinted around last week that I wasn't doing enough work on my health issues. Told him how I had to get on a scale for another drs appt and lo and behold I am 15lbs lighter than 6 months ago.

What was going through my head CBT T asked …why dear dr a great big "FLUCK YOU" went through my head. Eff you for judging me and I lost weight all along.

I had an LSG/Rule 34 related discussion in T today. It was hilarious, but I have no idea what possessed me...

I think so- or at least not a freak to one's own self.
