Is that bad?

I have a session in 4 hours......and I am so anxiius, angry, sad, scared, annoyed, hurt........all those things I guess and more, that I feel sick with anticipation.

Really want to tell him to stick it!

Would that be hurting myself too, if I don't at least try for a good ending wih him?

Gah! Looking for support to get me there I think.

I think it would be more helpful to explore these feelings with him. It's understandable that you have a lot coming up, with him leaving. Do you think your wanting to avoid the session is protective?

It is totally a protective instinct. As is the inability to communicate, share feelings, show emotion etc.

It feels like I will be hurt all over again, like I am being. Like I am having something bad done to me that I dont want.......and I have absolutely no control over and cant stop it happening. By not going, not communicating I will be taking some control back.......and not a single thing abiut that makes sense!

I think I would feel exactly as you describe. My head tells me to write how important it is to go, but I really get the feelings of saying stick it!

(((JaneC)))

Did you end up going? How'd it go? Were you able to talk with your T at all? Hope you were able to connect with him a little, and that he was able to help some!

maybe you could write it down? --- hand it over and wait.
who are you really "punishing" by not communicating?
[then again...I have done the same to maintain "control" in the past...so what do i know]

I did tell him. At the beginning of the session that I spoke about in my other thread.

He laughed, got serious, made me talk about it, then told me he was very happy to see me there, really.

What a mess!
