But my T dislikes the word "normal", when applied to human behaviour, thought and emotions, as much as I do.

It is also not a matter of T telling me that something I am uninterested in is important and I should be thinking about it, when it is something I would otherwise not have thought of. Rather, this is something I very much want but will never have and so it would be better for me to find out that it is in fact unimportant for other people. However, like pretty much everything else in the world this is unimportant for some people, but T's position is that if I obsess about it then it is clearly not unimportant for me.

But it would be futile for me to blame T for telling me things as he sees them. It is one reason why I employ him.

Good morning, couch. Nice title! Stopping by on my way out the door, have an appointment for a hair cut/and color, then grocery shopping. Hope you all have a great Saturday!

Any one can hang out here. It is a bit like parallel play - so don't be concerned if your post is not directly answered or anything. It also can move quite fast so sometimes posts just get buried. It is not personal if it happens.

I know - when the price came up - I double checked it to make sure it was not a misprint. Unless it is Mary Poppins magical bottomless bag.

I knew a Birkin bag was expensive, but I thought like a few hundred dollars. Maybe 1,000. Not 12,000 dollars!

My most expensive purse was 50 dollars

I'm with you on the affordable purses! I am hard on them - I do things like, oh, one time we rode up a ski lift that was running just for sight-seeing purposes in the spring, and I accidentally dropped my purse off of it from near the top of the slope. We gave an employee there a $20 tip after he hiked up and recovered it for me. It was a little banged up, needless to say! Luckily it stayed closed so I didn't lose anything that was in it at the time.

(Artie scoots over to make room for baseline and passes the box of cheez-its) Please don't be intimidated.... the couch is a good place to hang out! We're pretty random around these parts.... just about anything you can think of has probably come up at one time or another.... like SD says sometimes it moves pretty fast so don't be concerned if you don't get replied to. It's easy to miss stuff when it's moving fast!
Thanks for this!

I head never heard the word before, either. I have to admit I wasn't curious enough to look it up though... it's like when people talk about makes of shoes, or clothes brands - the names go in through one ear and out through the other one.

When I saw "birken bag" I thought of birkenstock sandals cuz my sister has for years been telling me I NEED a pair. I continue to not buy them, mostly because she thinks I need to.

I like to know and I thought it was a type of bag - like briefcase or rucksack - I did not realize it was more of a brand kind of thing.

I've never really been what you'd call a conspiracy theorist - but lately I'm becoming certain that our HOA goes around the neighborhood tossing 'weed seeds' in all the yards, just so they can send us mean letters saying "clean up the weeds or we'll fine you!" How else could they grow back so dang fast?!
Thanks for this!

I thought you would know - but sometimes I am taken way too seriously -so I like to clarify when I remember to do so.

And barefoot in a desert sounds like foot peril to me. But I am not a barefoot kind of person under most circumstances.

Morning couch.

I am just checking in before hopping in the shower, since I failed to shower last night and have to work at CVS later today.

Yesterday went okay. Hade my evaluation at my school-job. "Effective" the whole way through (only 3 levels of rating...effective, needs improvement, and ineffective). Not much happened at school. Just the usual kids getting wilder and wilder. 10 school days till the end of the year.

CVS went well last night too. Slow night, so I got to do inventory stuff (locate and find overstocked items within the expiration date requirements to return to the warehouse. It was something to do. I also had drive-thru for the first half of the night. I had 3 people who lost their voice come through drive-thru with big trucks with noisy engines. Goodness, I'm sorry sir I can't hear you over the engine, could you turn off your engine please. Then I still could not hear them over the outside background noises. Gheeze. Oh well.

Another thing that amazes me...how much people will pay for a "good time". Most insurance will not cover medications like Viagra because it is not "medically needed". Thus, people have to pay cash for it. 10 pills run about $275. And people pay this. Dang. I'm not against people using Viagra, I am just shocked at what people will pay for it.

Well, I need to go hop into the shower. I'll check back in after.

I once had a cat who had a prescription I had filled at a pharmacy - and I had several comments about a cat not being worth what I was paying for his meds.
He was my cat and this medicine made him feel better so of course I was going to get it for him if I could. I don't take any prescription drugs myself (the rare antibiotic but I have mostly gotten away from that too) - but I will use them for the pets to keep pain away/improve their quality of life - I would never give them one I thought merely prolonged life without keeping quality up there.
