I had a crazy dream about t last night. She comes to my house and asks me to find an old, expired prescription she had written me for hydrocodone and says she will alter the date on it and drive me to a local pharmacy so I can get it filled and give her the pills because she needs them and she can not get them for herself. I feel weird about it, I know it is wrong, but I say I'll do it anyway. She drops me off in front of the pharmacy and it's dark and windy and I see the trees blowing and there is an ominous feeling in the air as I walk into the pharmacy.

I need to do some work with this one for sure! I know dreams about other people aren't usually about them anyway but... yeah. This one bears some working with!

Interesting dream Art! It makes me think of how easily I can be guilted into doing things I don't want to do by people I care about or people I feel I 'owe' something to...

Yay! New house! I'm excited for you

Not a person there that I've seen acts as if they don't have any work left to do, and no one treated me like I didn't belong when I told them about my "not a t" job. Thanks for this Art. I know the fear is all my own, but that internalized feeling of 'little girl who thinks she can hang with the grownups, isn't she just adorable (insert indulgent grownup laughter)' is really powerful...

I dreamed a lot while I was in therapy, but only one was about my T. All the other dreams were about myself or my family. I still find that very strange, because T was en is so important to me. Maybe there was more transference going on then I was aware of.

Anyway, in this dream I go to see my T. The door opens and it's not my T. Well, I'm not sure. He looks like him but something seems off. I give him the benefit of the doubt and walk in and we start the session. Everything is fine for a while, but more doubts are raised. Finally I know for sure he's not my T and I confront him. He looks anxiously to one side of the room. There's a closet and I open it. In there lies my T, in his underwear (fake T was wearing his clothes) en tied up. The closet looks exactly like one in my parents house. The next moment we are in my parents garden. My T too. Fake T is gone.

I still haven't figured out what this dream could mean.
I pretty much do my own dream work these days, I do have one more session with t (in 10 days and in person for the first time in 2.5 years yay!) and this one I will work on with her for sure. I'll work with it some before we meet too! I want to do an Active Imagination with it and follow it through actually going into the pharmacy, etc.

Your dream is interesting too, esp the part about the real t tied up in the closet in your parents house. If it were my dream, I would be most fascinated with the possibilities for interpreting that!
Thanks for this!

Yep I get ya. I sorta spoke about that kind of thing in the group yesterday. We were sharing our first memory, and talking about how there is a thread that we pull with us through the rest of our lives from that. Mine was in kindergarten, I had gone up to the teacher's desk to ask her a question and she said "wait here" and had to leave the room for some reason, so me being so shy and wanting to do what I was told (that 'good little girl' complex I've done so much work with) I stayed standing there. And the other kids laughed at me and said cruel things about me because I was just standing there looking like a dolt instead of sitting back down. And I've carried that with me. Even the other day at work when I did my presentation - part of me standing up there was that little 5 year old being laughed at by the other kids!! I almost cried sharing that with the group yesterday. Silly now, but for a few minutes yesterday I was 5 again. Interesting how that works. And I kinda felt like that 5 year old the first time I went to one of the lectures - like, they are gonna all laugh at me. But they didn't, of course.

I am feeling quite "talkative" again. Oops!

Is it ok if I occasionally sip wine on the couch??I will keep the hard liquor locked up for emergencies only!!! Have a great day!!
Perfect! Would you please come over and help me separate stuff in my house into piles of keep, donate and throw out? When we take breaks I will give you turns on the slip and slide.

i have baked bread, ground 25 pounds of pork and beef and vacuum sealed the meat for freezing. I am going to practice making different kinds of sausages this summer.

I've never made sausage, that sounds interesting! But I do love to bake bread. Once we move, I'll have a lot more counter space in the kitchen, looking forward to that and homemade bread is one reason!

Ok.. a point of curiousity for me. When you put someone on your ignore list, does that somehow prevent them from posting on a thread you started? Is that why only someone with an empty ignore list can start a new couch?

I have someone on my ignore list that I didn't even remember putting on there, it's been so long. And I've started couches before, so I dunno....

I just don't understand much about how it works. I looked stuff up about it on here, but all I could find out was that it would prevent you from seeing any posts written by whoever is on your list, unless it shows up in someone else's response post. I'm trying to figure out if it prevents someone from posting on a thread started by someone who has you on their ignore list.

I see.

I want to put this very gently, and I apologise in advance if it feels like a challenge.

It is inconvenient to have your whole self-worth based on a single skill. Have you talked to your T about that?

The big question is, do you believe it. It's not like you to accept anything on authority!

It is supposed to prevent the person on the ignore list from posting on threads the ignorer starts, but there are glitches in the system. But in general, yes.

Hello couch! I slept in, took one teen to work, returned some unnecessary impulse buys (don't you just love that Couch 94 - Blowtorches R' UsCouch 94 - Blowtorches R' Us) and picked up a few necessities. Came home, cleaned a little, made a run to the dump Couch 94 - Blowtorches R' Us and now I'm contemplating dinner.

It's hot as blazes out there and I've got a little sunburn. So I'm considering ice cream for dinner. Well, not really, but it sounds divine! Maybe a salad so I don't heat up the house (and myself eating a hot meal) and ice cream afterwards.

Hope you're all having a dandy weekend!
Thanks for this!

Ooh it sounds hot! I don't like ice cream though...do you have sorbet?
I am tired and I feel a bit sick, but it's my own fault for eating too many poppadoms.
Night night
Thanks for this!
