And the other kids laughed at me and said cruel things about me because I was just standing there looking like a dolt instead of sitting back down. And I've carried that with me. Even the other day at work when I did my presentation - part of me standing up there was that little 5 year old being laughed at by the other kids!! I almost cried sharing that with the group yesterday. Silly now, but for a few minutes yesterday I was 5 again. Interesting how that works. And I kinda felt like that 5 year old the first time I went to one of the lectures - like, they are gonna all laugh at me. But they didn't, of course.

I am feeling quite "talkative" again. Oops!

That's interesting about first memories Art. Mine is of being alone in my crib in the dark playing by myself and hearing the grownups downstairs talking and laughing. It sounded like they were having a grownup party that I wasn't allowed to be part of...

Mmmm, I remember those. They're like crispy Indian crackers - like shrimp crackers almost. My dad used to crumble them into his curry.

The ride got called on account of severe mud and flooding. My horse was absolutely perfect. My D was riding in her first 'real' competition in a long time. She was riding a leased horse in the horse's first competition ever. So instead of taking my current competition horse, I grabbed my older, very reliable horse who has just been giving rides to little children for the last two years. She is not in great physical condition, but is a good natural athlete, and was really good-natured about being pulled out of retirement to babysit a young horse in her first competition. I had a perfect score before they called the ride off. I have never had a perfect score in front of this judge before. hahaha. Story of my life. My D and I had a wonderful, beautiful day, and my horse was perfect so I am really happy.

Can I join the couch? I need a place to rest my tired self. I don't like cool whip, though, only real whipped cream. Does that disqualify me? I do want a blow torch for my kitchen. I'm not a snuggler, unless it's with my kids or my dogs.
Thanks for this!

I think not liking cool whip puts you in the majority. I've never tried the stuff myself, but I've heard scary things...

I'm becoming tongue tied, which isn't hard for me to do, but I'm feeling rather like I've swallowed my entire shoe at this point. Back to the couch!

Nice! Marshmallows are my favorite food group. That and Diet Coke. Tell him the stove is much more efficient than a lamp hehe

Me, too. He's trying though. Just in a hard spot I guess (for us right now anyway).

Thanks Ellah. I'm sorry you're feeling that way too. I just have to keep reminding myself to let him deal with his "stuff" and stop taking it on myself so much.

Wow, it is already Monday here.

CVS went well tonight. Had issues whiel driving home making my trip take forever. I get a mile away from my turn to go to where I live and the street is blocked by about 10 emergency vehicles (police cars and fire trucks).

So, I go turn before my turn and go a mile North, turn again and go 4 miles East, turn again and go 1 mile South, turn again and go what I hoped would be 3 miles West to get to my street from the other direction than I usually do. But I only made it 2 miles West and the street was blocked again, so I had to turn down some side street I never heard of and guess at what streets to turn onto to try to get home. I did finally find a street I was familiar with and knew how to get home. Stupid emergency vehicles, though it must be pretty serious if that long of a stretch of road was closed. I hope everyone involved makes a full recovery.

Ate supper when I got home. I did 2/$20 deal at Chili's when I went this afternoon (what I wanted for lunch would have been about $17, so I figued I might as well do the 2/$20 and get supper too for later. It works, then I had something to eat after work.

Middle school job tomorrow (errr... today), then CVS again. I like to stay busy.

Well, I should probably go try to get some sleep, so I can be alert tomorrow (err...later today).

Night couch.
Thanks for this!

The lamp didn't cut it, so she did end up using the stove Still though - she came up with the lamp idea all by herself. The birth of innovation

In the good old days you could toast marshmallows over the TV.
OK, I just made that one up.

That's the beauty of a gas stove--they're built in marshmallow roasters.
