So, I'm working on being more positive toward myself and about life in general. My T has me doing 3 things I'm grateful for each day and i started 3 positive things about myself to start beating down the negativity. Any other ideas?

I'm doing 3 things to be grateful for each morning and evening, but for my minister not for therapy.it's really really hard. Sometimes i have to write really stupid stuff like "im grateful for crackers" because I can't think of a thing.

My cBT T is all about actions.

I am trying to pick 2 things I can do every week to improve my situation (big things) like work on learning to budget better.

Then, every day I try to do smaller things that "improve the moment" or improve something for my future self. I may feel like crap but I do laundry ironing and cooking to improve my work week.

Thoughts are nice, actions have impact.

I went to a writing therapy group yesterday and the tutor said she has a "kind message notebook" and every day she writes herself a kind message and dates it. If she particularly needs to be kind to herself that day she looks at some previous kind messages, and because she's been doing it for several years she can look back over the kind message from this date last year, or two years ago etc. I thought it was a great idea.

My T and I came up with a list of6 things that are good abt me (to be honest, she made up at least half of them) and I'm supposed to read them every time I think an awful thought about myself. There's also a "reasons not to cut" list I'm supposed to read 5x a day... She's big on lists.
Thanks for this!
