Honey and moose meat doesn't make for a balanced diet.

Those "reality" programs never explain adequately where the money comes from.

Funny.

I should bring up Adam and Eve's curses just for shits and giggles...

I want a showdown right away, but my boss says do other things first.
So money is the key along with less need for less humans = less salary, benefits, retirement, middle management for managing people... Now to show them how with no risk to them.

I don't have the power to protect them from redundancies. The risk is real. Real enough to dominate their thinking, anyway.

There's joke here, but it's someone else's turn to make it.

Sounds like a good opener to a song to me!

I've found my father's will
I've found my mother's will
I can't find my will
It's in a brown and yellow basket...

Made it to an in-home date nite, phew. Hope yours is going well too Art.

We're doing dessert and the latest Mad Max, hubby hadn't seen it yet.

And my therapist did write me back to close out the week, and it was, in the end, a lovely relief as I'd hoped. She's awfully busy- hadn't realized she was spending four whole hours a day at the medical center w/her relative until she mentioned it tonight, plus hosting family on the weekends so they could be near him. She's a real trooper at nearly 70.

So hubby & I just got back from seeing Paper Towns. It was pretty darn good, I thought. Really tugged on my emotions and I cried several times. A very affordable evening out, the tickets were a whole $8.30 for both of us! And we had a good time together, completely forgot for a couple hours the stress of the house-buying.

My son just got home from the football game, and said "I have to talk to you about something." We both were like ok what happened... knowing it is something with the truck he drives... sure enough, him and a friend were driving around in the desert killing time between school and the football game and a chunk of asphalt they didn't see kicked up from the other car and slammed into the truck and shattered the back window. He was so afraid we were going to yell at him. We're not happy about it of course but.... we did dumb things when we were kids too and he and his friend are already working on how to fix it. His friend's going to help pay for it. I told him the important things are 1) nobody got hurt and 2) he learned a good lesson about where NOT to drive and he (and his friend) are going to pay whatever it costs to fix it.
Thanks for this!

I'm glad you were able to have an in-home date night, and that your t wrote you back. I wish I was brave enough to ask my t how old she is. I don't know why I haven't asked her yet. I want to know dammit.

I'm fairly straightforward I guess, but in that case, I just learned it in passing, never asked that one directly. But if it was me, I'd probably just say- "out of curiosity... do you mind if I ask how old you are?"
