I would like to learn DBT though, so I was thinking maybe going twice a week till the end of the year.
I emailed her to ask her about it and I also emailed my other t to see what she thinks. I plan on seeing my other t once a month starting in January because I'll be able to afford it hopefully, or I might ask for a referral from my GP for a new therapist. I'm not sure what I'm going to do in the new year.

Does your insurance offer any out-of-network benefits? The T I see is out of network, but insurance still covers 60% of the fee (I think it would be like 80% if she was in network, but it's hard to find those). That could help you afford the one who will be out of network. And I think even if you don't continue in the new year, it could be helpful to see the DBT T for the rest of the year.
