I realize this is absolutely frivolous yet I am somehow very bothered by this...

It just dawned on me that my t has worn the same pants every session for the last 4-5 weeks. Why???

My t is in her 60's, works 1 day a week, and is always well put together with regards to fashion. Why would she wear the same pants week after week? I wonder if she has been wearing the same top every week too?

Why do I even care?? This is all making me crazy!!
Thanks for this!

In the winter my T has like 10 of the SAME EXACT PANTS (trousers for those over the pond) and wears them everyday. I see her 3-5 times a week and asked her about it so I got the scoop. It's what she prefers to wear in the winter. She's a hoot. She does change her shoes, shirt, jewelry, and reading glasses to match each day though.

Pants, teehee

My T often wears the same thing, like dress or top, two weeks running, then never again. Weird.
I try to never wear the same thing twice to therapy. I feel that's the least a T could do, right?

When you say you don't wear the same thing twice, you mean twice in a row, right?

I've never really paid attention to T's pants. He wears the same shirts and ties over and over. I guess he probably wears the same pants over and over, too. I'll have to pay more attention.
Thanks for this!

I have like 5 identical pairs of jeans, 3 identical pairs of Capri pants, 6 identical pairs of khaki works shorts etc. They might not actually be the same pants. I have minimal interest in fashion. My clothes need to be comfortable, suitable for riding horses in, relatively stain resistant and that's it. For those of us who aren't fashion oriented having multiple pairs of the same pants simplifies life.

My T now knows if I am having rare afternoon off from work if I show up in a new jacket or something...

Wouldn't bother me. My T does have one pair of really ripped up jeans she wears and I always wonder if its a retro 80's fashion or she just can't find any other ones that morning...

Einstein used to wear identical suits every day, said it freed up his mind from worrying about what to wear.

I think my T owns five shirts. Once, he went three weeks where he wore the same shirt. To be fair, I go once a week and on the same day each week. But I thought it was funny. I had to keep from not commenting. I wanted be like, "So Charlie Brown, one shirt eh?"

My therapist had a few different styled uniforms she would rotate through the week. It never bothered me, because once I gave birth shopping and being in style was no longer my forte.

When I was a teen my therapist and I used to try and out do each other with clothes and heels. I wore no makeup and she was clumped in it. When I think of her today I feel she was more suited for the oldest profession in the world.

Just gotta say, great thread title! I myself am a repeat pants offender. My t is too. I think he only owns one pair of jeans at a time and wears them until they wear out. He does change his shirt or sweater every day tho. And hes a shoe-aholic.

How many pants is one supposed to own?

Maybe she has a body type for this is hard to find right pants (hint, if you are not averagest of the average in height, no curves, "right size", it is sorta difficult to find pants that fit for many), so one sticks to one pair, because pants shopping is simply too much trouble.

Or maybe she just really likes them. Maybe she does not realize she puts on the same pants on the days she sees you lol.

If she only works once a week maybe it's her designated "professional outfit". If she's the type of person who's not into fashion then she may not think about it and doesn't realize would notice.

I feel like I should come up with a therapy outfit and see if I can get him to comment on it by wearing it every week for like a year... hehehehhehe

Thanks, all. I'm not a fashionista by any means. In fact, I am a chronic repeat pants and top offender myself. So for this to bug me is even more perplexing.

I agree. This is probably her "professional - I'm at work today" outfit. I'm guilty of that.

I basically wear the either the exact same khaki pants or the other pair exactly like them and a button down oxford cloth shirt - I have shirt in 2 blue, 2 white and 2 striped. If I am in court I wear one of two grey suits - exactly alike.
I hate thinking about clothes.

Glory be, I sure hope not!!!

I did read a thread one time where people were discussing how often they showered. I was quite shocked at some of the responses.
