Um...why? As with Dr. Who, I've just never understood the appeal.

It just is. Nothing that can be explained. Why do I like fritos but not doritos? Or lemon drops but not chocolate? Or cold distant therapists rather than the warm kind? I hated Paul but liked Gina.

I, too, like Calista Flockhart. Fritos over Doritos. Lemon drops instead of chocolate but I like my therapists warm and fuzzy.

I have never felt strongly about Calista Flockhart although I enjoy her character on Supergirl.
Chocolate generally wins in my candy book. I love Fritos and Doritos equally well. I also have no idea who Paul and Gina are ![]()

Two of the 3 therapists on In Treatment

Is "In Treatment" like the client version of "Inside Out"? (Which therapists seem obsessed with. Along with tea.)

I have not seen inside out. It sounded like parts were sad. I do like Lewis Black though

The eight year old says Inside Out is scary. I'm beginning to be of the mind that a bit of fear is good for kids...

I'm waiting for pasta water to boil. In the spirit of not watching the pot I came to check in. Today was horrible and I'm glad to be home. Busy but the attitudes on the phone! Whoa, a lot of people must've been disappointed at their lumps of coal from Santa!

So. X-Files revival.
It's been foreeeeever since I watched X-Files. I tried to do a rewatch about five or six years ago and it just felt very dated. It didn't hold the same luster that I recall from my junior high and high school years. Plus, there was Fringe which I felt like was X-Files done better - that is, it couldn't have existed if X-Files hadn't first existed but it took the premise of X-Files (somewhat) and created a cohesive story with fun characters. On the other hand, I kind of want to tune in because I'm sure there will be fan service but do I remember enough of the original to catch the fan service? I stopped watching around season six-ish? Maybe season five. And I wasn't a hardcore viewer. I don't feel like doing a rewatch. But then Scully/Mulder brought the word "shipper" to fandom. I feel like I owe them that much. BTW, on a different note, my T tells me I overthink things.

I loved Ally McBeal. Haven't seen Inside Out or In Treatment.
Like Doritos over Fritos, chocolate, and warm, fuzzy therapists! |

How do people binge-watch? I need tips.

Well. I think some people hunker down on Friday night (or whenever their weekend starts) and then they just watch until their eyes fall out of their heads.
We just start a show and watch a few episodes a night.

I don't know how to binge-watch as I can't even sit still through a 30 minute show. There are tons of shows I'd like to binge-watch but they'd have to be in 10-minute segments with 5 minute breaks between them. I wonder if I have ADD?

Depending on the show, I might do crosswords or play Candy Crush while watching.
Some shows though are just really engaging. I found Marvel's Jessica Jones engaging. The Man in the High Castle (Amazon Instant Video) was incredible.

Well, currently I'm binge watching old U2 concerts on YouTube. I prefer to call it being on a U2 kick though. Besides, I'm more listening to it than watching it anyway...

When I binge watch things I just lay on the couch all day and watch a ton of episodes. For me, I wouldn't consider it a binge unless I watched like at least six episodes. Otherwise that's just normal tv watching for me. I watch too much tv. I think the most I've watched at a time was like 13 episodes, and that was for Orange is the New Black, which is kinda meant to be binge watched since all the episodes come out at once. I also enjoy binge watching Once Upon a Time, the greatest show ever <3
