Not saying therapists are lazy, and of course some work with clients outside of session, but the ones I've been dealing with are not in their offices full-time.

No. 1 is Tuesday-Thursday (she splits the office with her spouse)
No. 2 is Tuesday-Thursday and alternate Fridays (due to her training schedule, which takes her somewhere almost every weekend)
Psychiatrist is every day, but only 6 appointments a day (9-3, appointments are an hour not 15 minutes)

If your therapist has a limited schedule, do you find that a hindrance? (I only find it inconvenient if I need to reschedule, since they tend to be fully booked due to limited hours.)

I am not sure how many days she works!
My appointment is usually on Wednesday. But there have been a few times that I've seen my T on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. So Im guessing she works at least 4 days a week.
Thanks for this!

Not a clue, I know he works Monday to Friday but I think he does a lot of weekend seminars and training too. He's always travelling round the country and it rarely impacts on my Wednesday appointment.

My last T worked 4 days more n-Thursday and half days Friday's to avoid the mad road rush. But she made exceptions on Friday afternoons. She took extra classes in the evenings to become a full fledged psychologist, Ph.D. She started as a SW trained in testing and kept taking classes until she got her Ph.D.. Not lazy at all.

I think she does 5 but I'm not 100% sure...I've been there Mon-Thurs and I once had a session scheduled Friday but changed it. I know Friday is her "light" day and doesn't see a lot of people.

T works Monday-Friday. He has responded to emails on the weekend, so I guess you could say everyday. But he only does sessions on the weekdays.

My T is in her office for 4 days a week and she works from 8am to 5pm. That doesn't have to mean that her whole day is full of clients. But today we were planning next session for the first week of January and she was full on the Wednesday and Thursday. And for Friday she also didn't had much. I'm not sure if the first session of the day is the one at 9.15 or if it's at 8.15.
She only answers emails during workhours. I wonder if she does any work outside her regular workhours. Like if she hasn't finished something, will she finish it or wait until the next workday to finish it.

I don't know if she's free on the Mondays or if she has something of school. On the site it's writen that she follows this course and soon she will start with that study, so.

My T works pretty hard.

T is generally in his office 5 days a week. He works some Saturdays doing evaluations at a local jail.

Mine works 8-6, Mon-Fri. He is usually booked pretty solid, but being on his cancellation list has worked out for me several times.

My therapist worked 5 days a week until she had her daughter, then reduced it to 3 days. Now she's back in school to be a nurse practitioner and works 2 days. She is only there u 10-3 both days, so if I want an appointment I need to bend to her schedule, which isn't easy for me. If I needed regular sessions, it would be a hinderance for sure. My pdoc works 5 days November through April and then is off every Friday. His hours vary but it seems like he's there 7 hours on average and sees clients every 20 or 40 minutes. Some Ts have other jobs and do private practice part time. My son's T is a school psychologist and does individual therapy 3 afternoons a week. I have friends that do something similar.

Mine does therapy two days a week. She teaches at University two or three days a week. Not sure but I think she usually takes Thursday, Saturday and Sundays as her days off.

My T technically works 5 days a week, but one of those days she is supervising Grad students. Not sure if that counts? I voted 5 anyway.
She's off on Wednesdays but does have appointments on Saturdays.

My T is in the office 3 days a week, pretty much 10-6. Her husband (who used to work in the same practice, before I started seeing her) is retired, so I think she decreased her days to just the 3.

My marriage counselor works 5 days a week, including a couple late evenings. He's called from the office at 9 p.m. before. He sees lots of teenagers (they're his specialty), so he shifts hours on some days to accommodate their school schedules.

I'm pretty sure my T works Monday through Friday, as well as many Saturdays. I think I've had an appointment on each day of the week at some point, other than Sunday. She does do outside contact though, and I've spoken to her on the phone on Sundays. I'm not sure what her hours are though. Sometimes my appointments are in the late morning or early afternoon, and I've had one in the evening as well. I think her schedule is a bit different each week, but she seems to work a lot.

She offers outside contact-and has e-mailed me late at night (10pm is her cut-off reply time), and I see her on Saturdays, but she shares an office with another T-so I don't know how that works out. I have seen her on a Monday and a Friday as well.

I chose none of the above, because I honestly do not know, have never asked. I do know that Saturday appointments have been an option in the past.

She is semi retired so typically works two days a week. However if needed due to crisis she will see clients on other days as well. She also emails, talks on the phone so I don't know how much she works doing that.

He worked 4 10 hr days a week in his Univ position as Director, usually in by 7AM for meetings with grad students and interns, so as to leave the clinic open hrs available for clients. Occasionally he ran an evening group for a semester. He spent one full day--9 to 9, with a couple of hours off for dinner--in his private practice, as well as 2-3 nights a week, plus Sat mornings. I always had outside phone contact available and emergency appts as needed, rarely. I saw him both at the Univ and in his private practice over the years.

My T works a regular work week: 5 days a week; 9AM-6PM with an hour lunch. He doesn't necessarily have clients all day every day; it varies.

It wasn't his schedule that was limiting; it was always my own. Since I teach, I could only take late afternoon appointments, so I scheduled ahead a few weeks which seemed to work most of the time.

T1 officially worked Tues-Thurs and Sat. However, I have seen her on every day of the week. She would make adjustments if deemed necessary.

T2 worked Tues-Fri.

T3 - I have no idea what days she works.
