We have a similar approach, I see. But lately they are seeping through my chainmail. I think its result of Ts sharp and pointy therapeutic approach.

I'm telling you, plate mail is the way to go. Not as porous as chainmail.

Locking things in impermeable boxes has a tendency to cause a gradual increase in pressure inside the box over time, which tends to have explosive results at the worst possible time. The Worst Possible Time... *shudders* Trust me, it was baaaad.

I went to the endodontist today. Lot of that going around here. I have a pregnant endodontist. I think she scheduled me for after she delivers. Thats fine with me. They are going to do surgery for the third time on an infected root canal. Last time i had surgery on it, the first George Bush was running for president. Ba da bump! They said hopefully they have better techniques and materials now.

That other thing you guys are talking about? - i think thats what happened to my root canal. An its a front top tooth.

I don't think being dipped in the river Styx made Achilles a model of emotional stability.

Being dunked headfirst in a river as a baby by your mother can't help...

There's another myth where she puts him in the fire in the fireplace every night to make him immortal.

It made him invincible - except for that unfortunate heel thing.
How would that not be the same and even better than armour?

Not exactly Mother of the Year.
I don't know - what didn't kill him made him stronger.

But physically invincible only, right? The guy has the emotional self-control of a feral cat.

I always thought the heel thing was a giant gyp. Who dies from an arrow through the Achilles' tendon?

I am sure one could be psychically dipped and become emotionally invincible. Besides plate armour and chain mail are physical protections if we are suddenly becoming literal.

Well, technically if it was gangrenous, and, being Achilles, he probably wouldn't let the surgeon amputate...

I think Achilles did okay. I don't have any reason to feel sorry for him except for that forgotten heel bit.
If I am going to get all soppy at greek heros, I can think of others who deserve it more.

And see, I can understand his position. What is all the hating on Achilles about?
